Trouble in Tawang
« on: July 31, 2016, 07:45:05 PM »
These are a series of articles on the troubles in Tawang over a controversial Dam building project. There are two deaths. The abbott of tawang monastery resigned to the Dalai Lama.

Thing is why did not the office of the Dalai Lama a statement over this issue?

Has the tide turned on the Dalai Lama and CTA? Now monks protecting the Black Neck Crane which they liken to the 6th incarnate Dalai Lama, are being shot at during the peaceful demostration, killing and wounding. Does this mean that now the Dalai Lama and CTA no longer hold sway of the government of India. Whatever it may be, Indian police should not have shot at peaceful demonstrators. Sad that the monks had to suffer the shootings before the news of the conservation acts can be disseminated to the masses.

With all these anti-Dalai Lama's students' sentiment, I think and hope that the ban on Protector Dorje Shugden will swiftly be lifted and the declaration that Dorje Shugden is a "spirit" is a bold face political lie.

 :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Religion has degenerated so much that people are no longer acting and living in the teachings of the religion founder. People are more interested in creating disharmony, status, power and greed. No one is interested in enlightenment, spiritual attainments, mind transformation, love and compassion any longer. What happened to clairvoyance, attained masters, divine healing, superior qualities etc.? It seems no one cares. We can see clearly now people's values are very different now, they are least concern of any good qualities which has resulted in disharmony of our society. Basically, we can forget about peace and harmony when religion degenerates and this is very depressing for our current and future generations.

I totally agree with what Rowntree have written. It is true that religions have degenerated greatly. It is like these people are using the name of religion to do really weird things.

I just really hope that this ban with regards to Dorje Shugden will end really soon. There is no reason to have this ban on Dorje Shugden since he is an enlightened protector and his practices are very beneficial to all of us. The only reason that I can think of for this ban is to make the name of Dorje Shugden bigger and for more people to know about the benefits to Dorje Shugden.

This really sounds like the kaliyuga age. Spirituality is like fashion, something to show off rather for our own betterment. The face and nature of Buddhism seems to be changing. The practitioners are not showing mindfulness, kindness, awareness, generosity and patience, much less the higher training.

When we don't have the basics, surely the 'practitioners' don't know what is right or wrong, how then do we have harmony and peace?
