Sikyong Sangay has arrived in Japan for a two-week, all expenses paid trip by the Tibetans in exile's rather lean pockets, with a loose agenda of visiting cultural and educational areas. It looks to be more of a free holiday than work (not sure who will be accompanying him, it would be interesting to see).

That aside, what is more damaging to the Tibetan cause, if there is anything left of it since Lobsang Sangay took office, is that one of his few programme highlights will be on 13th February when he is scheduled to "engage in a dialogue with Ms Yoshiko Sakurai, President of Japan Institute for National Fundamentals, a think tank".

According to CTA propoganda, Ms Sakurai is the editor of Peace Harmony and Prosperity Magazine PHP and takes keen interest in the issue of Tibet, and was described by the Japan Times, as Japan’s “bravest and most responsible journalist.”

According to Wikiwand, Ms Sakurai is affiliated with the openly revisionist lobby Nippon Kaigi. Sakurai denies the Nanking Massacre and sexual slavery by the Japanese imperial military during World War II (i.e. "Comfort women"). She promoted Taniyama Y?jir?'s 2015 Scottsboro Girls film in Japan and the United States, a revisionist film aimed at denying the sexual enslavement of comfort women.

I guess Sikyong Sangay is scraping the bottom of the barrel. What will be his next trip? To Iceland to meet Rudolph or maybe to North Korea...

Yes, it's for cultural and educational purpose - to learn how to deny the divide of the Karma Kagyus' of the 17th Karmapa issue, the Gelugpas' Dorje Shugden practice issue and the 11th Panchen Lama issue. Right on cue, there has been a protest in Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward yesterday to protest Nanking Massacre denier Toshio Motoya, president of the Apa Hotel chain. The hotel chain sparked public outrage recently especially among people in China and South Korea, when it was discovered that it was placing books written by its president in its guest rooms that deny the Nanjing Massacre and the forced recruitment of "comfort women" ever happened. APA hotel was to host some of the athletes participating in the upcoming Asian Winter Games in Japan.

Worse still, dozens of ultra-right wing activists besieged and attacked the peaceful protest parade.

How will Japan help Tibet?

The idea the Tibetan mafiosi are surfing on here is that an assertive, revivalist, neo-imperialist Japan would support an independent Tibet to be used as a weapon against its perceived arch-rival, China, exactly as Western imperialists have done for the last decades.

In other words, eyeing solely their own personal profit, such Tibetans are trying to sell Tibet to China's enemies, which by the way has been their usual business since the evil 13th dalie lame offered South Tibet, now Arunachal Pradesh, to the British occupier.

What a good life to have everything being paid for his holiday in the name of foreign affairs for the CTA! The Japanese supports the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan cause for whatever reasons and that's all the Sikyong cares about. He is just looking for another resources for the Tibetans' poor me story and channel more money for his own pocket and comfort. I guess this is some of the last few resources the CTA may have to squeeze whatever remained before it is too late not forgetting to enjoy themselves in the failing government.

The Japanese supports the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan cause for whatever reasons and that's all the Sikyong cares about.

Not even the Sikyong is so stupid. He knows precisely and cares very much about the reasons why Japanese revivalists support the evil dalie and the “cause” of disgruntled aristocratic Tibetan revivalists, because this is the key to his approach.

To date after the initial news that Sikyong Lobsang Sangay visited Japan, we have not heard any information about any resolution or results of the visit. The only reason Japan formed any task force to help the CTA in the first place because the Dalai Lama visited Japan talked to the parliament, and he made quite a bit of impression.

Now, Sikyong Lobsang Sangay need to achieve the result and follow up on the Dalai Lama's effort. Let's see whether Sikyong will bring any positive results from this relationship and not just money.
