Lobsang Sangay demotes HH Dalai Lama to Joe Politician

It is one thing that His Holiness Dalai Lama is dragged into the abysmal sphere of politics by other politicians, but to have his own Prime Minister who His Holiness had relinquished his secular duties to, unabashedly waving His Holiness around like a plastic flag in the wind is pure dereliction of duty and pure disrespect.

Tibetans should clearly by now see Lobsang Sangay's actions and speech as making His Holiness (and Dorje Shugden) his mantra, an excuse for not achieving anything himself, leaving him desperate and clutching to His Holiness' holy robes and in the process tearing it apart. What have you achieved Lobsang Sangay?

This includes the whole shebang about Dorje Shugden being a "mischievous spirit" and financed and supported by Sangay's political enemy - the Chinese government. Again, what have you done for Tibetans Sangay?

What Lobsang Sangay has done is to speak hate, create hate, tear His Holiness' robes, and condemned a very enlightened Buddha protector in the Tibetan tradition.

The Dalai Lama’s meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee is a political message for China, the chief executive of the Tibetan government-in-exile Dr Lobsang Sangay has said, in an exclusive interview with news portal Himachal Abhi Abhi.

Dr Sangay said the meeting may carry many meanings as the Dalai Lama met the president formally at Rashtrapati Bhavan and Prime Minister Modi had also invited the Dalai Lama to his swearing-in ceremony. All this is clearly a political message to China, said Sangay, who made the comments while visiting Paonta in Himachal Pradesh.

On a question over China’s attitude and strategy towards Tibet, Dr Sangay said, despite China’s objections, Dalai Lama did attend the International Buddhist Conference in Nalanda, Bihar as the Chief Guest, and now he would be going to Arunachal Pradesh to meet his followers. Though China was protesting this visit too, Sangay said the visit was for religious purposes and should not be objected to.

Sangay also reiterated long-standing demands that suppression of Tibetans in Tibet by China should end and that Tibet be granted independence.

Thank you for this insightful post. Your analysis is correct. Lobsang Sangay uses the Dalai Lama as his political pawn. It is ironic because the Dalai Lama has announced his intention to be released from his political duties to focus on his spiritual role as a religious leader. Instead today, we see the Dalai Lama being used as a political pawn by their host country, India to irritate China, which certainly does not help the Dalai Lama and the CTA's goal to obtain meaningful autonomy from China.

I believe the real problem is Dr. Lobsang Sangay has no choice but to use the Dalai Lama as a pawn. Lobsang Sangay does not have the prestige and the credibility of the Dalai Lama. He could not secure meetings with the world leaders like His Holiness. If we follow the news in tibet.net, the most Dr. Lobsang Sangay can secure are meetings with parliamentary members of other countries - that only meet him for courtesy purposes. However, instead of making the situation better, by reaching out to China, Dr. Lobsang Sangay and his government, continue to encourage his subject to bash China and keep silent about self-immolation. Certainly, these manoeuvres do not make the situation better.

I think it is sad that a spiritual teacher of the Dalai Lama calibre to be used as a political pawn because Dr. Lobsang Sangay and the other Kalon are incapable of building their credibility.

This rationalization is just a ludicrous, theological tale aimed at saving the face of the evil dalie.

However, while trying to sell the story that the evil dalie is not evil, you characterize him as an idiot.

Just in case you have doubts, the method to dispel them is simple: as long as Western corporate fake news official media does not attack the evil dalie nothing has changed.

It’s funny that Dr Lobsang Sangay said the visit was for religious purposes but he uses it for political reason to spill more oil to the fire on China. What actually CTA will achieve from this remarks? Will Tibet obtain autonomy from China?

Using HH Dalai Lama as a spiritual person for political reason is correct? This not only putting down His Holiness but the entire leaders of CTA. Who will have confident with CTA through such action? It’s just a joke to the eye of the world.

I just feel sad for the Tibetan and the future generation of Tibetan. This is what the leaders show and educating their people. Nothing matured or productive from their leaders to safeguard their people interest in a bigger picture. Close to 60 years there is nothing CTA has achieved and proven until today they are still with this small mind set. I just wonder when the western will stop their funding to pet CTA which doesn’t bring any good to their own people. There is nothing much CTA can do for their people and that is obvious. Who will keep funding and seeing nothing beneficial being achieve. 

More and more country are befriending China which influences the world economy. Who will really support CTA for their non-productive act? Even for humanity sake what has CTA done for their people to gain sympathy from the world? From their act we only see how violent they are, how they promote separation within their own people, how the spend their fund to segregate Tibetans.

It is quite mysterious how the CTA and the Dalai Lama work together as it does not seem that they speak the same language. How could the Dalai Lama be more clear?

It is obvious for everyone around that there is no other solution than to befriend China and for the CTA to take responsibility for their people. I hope that the Tibetans can soon find peace and make the only thing which makes sense, accept the facts, and be part of "One China". After 60 years in exile, it seems that no other option has worked out.

May the Tibetans find peace and gain a better future in Tibet, China.

HH Dalai Lama has said many times that he is no longer a political figure for Tibet and his focus is solely on spirituality and the welfare of all beings spiritually. With such a focus, it is very obvious that the motivation is spiritual. To say that HH Dalai Lama's visit was a political ones, it is clear that this is Sangay's own fantasy of using HH as his cushion for his failure since he is in the position. It has been proven and very clearly to the world that Lobsang Sangay is useless in his works and he cannot lead the Tibetans, provide any benefits or take care of them in any way, shape or form. It would be good that for once and for all that Lobsang Sangay takes responsibility of the welfare of all Tibetans and stop hiding behind HH's protections while jeopardising HH's fame so he can continue to be a wuss!

Even though The HH Dalai Lama has mentioned he is no longer a politic Leader, However the CTA still hides behind his Holiness and using him as a spiritual person for political reason.

Since the year of 1959, the HH Dalai Lama escaped to India, a Tibetan in Exile government formed and today by the name of Central Tibetan Administration.  Since 1960, Tibetan Leadership has given a beautiful picture to Tibetan on Free Tibet cause. However closer to 60 years now, the goals are more and more difficult to achieve. For the past, Tibetan freedom movement used to be all about gaining supports from the international communities. Now, the movement seems to be all about gaining supports from Tibetan peoples. So, the Tibetan freedom movement has shifted from "internationalization" to "internalization."  Also, CTA have failed to convince China for a dialogue on the Tibet issue. 

In order to cover their incompetence, CTA diverted the attention of Tibetans by making  lots of excuses and one of them is using religion  by blaming Dorje Shugden Practising and banned it . It shows that no religious freedom even they claimed they are democratic.

In my opinion, to succeed, CTA need to be focus on how to bring China on the dialogue table instead of keep making excuses.

What is Lobsang Sangyal talking about? This is so pathetic. What message that HHDL wants China to know which the China doesn't know? You mean China doesn't know CTA is using India as a tool to upset China? And what else CTA can do to "force" China? This is a very sad case of CTA to have to use the meeting with the premier of another country to "force" China. Can't CTA himself do something?

CTA is beyond hope anymore. I wish their people will wake up to the stupid administration and leave CTA and get PR in India or other places. Anyway, their so-call top leaders all have PR of other countries and had already planned their exit route.
