His Holiness the Dalai Lama weak on self-immolations

Since His Holiness the Dalai Lama had retired from politics, it should be Lobsang Sangay's job to speak about self-immolation.  However, Lobsang Sangay also made weak statements about discouraging self-immolation recently after 2 of such cases in India in the month of July alone.

the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) is allowing and encouraging Tibetans to kill themselves in the name of the Tibetan cause. They even glorify Tibetans who self-immolate by holding memorial services, lighting candles, calling them martyrs of the Tibetan cause and erecting statues to commemorate past self-immolations. There is no way that self-immolations will do anything for the Tibetan Cause! Why should it be of any help when people kill themselves - Let alone from a Buddhist perspective!

Yet, instead of stopping them, the CTA is lightening candles. What a tragedy! They should do something to get out of this mess like putting their people first and getting them work and a home.

The CTA already given an impression to the world that they are not doing anything, they always use Dalai Lama's name, and they always play victim card to get money from the west. So, in this case, again CTA is keeping quiet. Whether Dalai Lama had the intention to let CTA say something or not, nobody knows. Recently Dalai Lama's speech has been contradicting. Suddenly say people can practice Shugden, suddenly say he never ban on Shugden before, suddenly say he always want to go back China and he has forgiven China long time ago. So, it won't be surprise that he beats around the bush regarding this case. And for CTA, of course they won't say /do anything to stop self immolation, it is because it's their King card in hand to get money from the west. But please, CTA, Lobsang Sangay, even Dalai Lama, the world is not stupid. 1st time, people pity you, and those who self immolate. 2nd times, people are like "oh gosh, one more! So pitiful!". 3rd, 4th, 5th...... uncountable times, people will say, "CTA, say and do something to stop self immolate! It's your people and they are dying!". CTA, the whole world is watching.

Dear Belinda Mae

Just like many other people, I am too wondered why the Dalai Lama has not spoken against self-immolation. We all know that he has a lot of charisma and many Tibetans still listen to him. I hope he will speak up soon so a further unnecessary loss of lives can be prevented.
