There is a book that is being published by the Tibetan leadership glorifies self-immolation. They are actually telling their Tibetans to go light themselves on fire and die for their country. What kind of government do that? A government is supposed to protect their own people and not exploit them for personal gain.

The self-immolation cases have brought a tremendous amount of international attention to the Tibet-China situation and they put China in a very bad position. This is exactly what the Tibetan leadership wants. When the world see how desperate the Tibetans are to use such an extreme method to raise awareness of China’s occupation of Tibet.

Sympathy funds will start pouring in and this is exactly what the Tibetan leadership wants. All they care for is the donation that they will get. They are shameless to exploit their own citizen’s life to get donations. It is amazing that the Tibetans are still loyal and blind to all the exploitation that they are suffering from the Tibetan government.

Even though the Tibetan community is not big, but they are always fighting with each other, there are conflicts and people are not in unity. I really do pity the Tibetans so have such government leading them. They most probably will not be able to get back independence for their homeland anymore. The time has changed and the karma for Rangzen has passed. That is why even His Holiness the Dalai Lama started fighting for Umaylam instead of Rangzen. His Holiness knows exactly that independence for Tibet is not achievable anymore.

If the CTA has not dragged so long so make effort to pursue Rangzen, there might be a chance that they actually can achieve it. But since CTA like to drag and focus on getting benefits for themselves only, they had missed the chance to fight for it.

Now that China had invested so much into Tibet, they will not let go of Tibet easily. They had also grown to be one of the most powerful countries in the world and it is much more difficult to convince them to return Tibet to the Tibetans. Now it is the Tibetans who will suffer because, after 60 years, they will remain a refugee.

The western countries are very worried about the rising power of China. For the past 2,3 centuries, they have been the stronger one who conquered and exploited the weaker for their benefits. They don't want to be the weaker one or to be under controlled. China is a big threat to them. If China becomes the most powerful economy, they have to kowtow to China and they won't be able to continue to exploit Asian countries.

The western countries are not righteous, they are only using the Tibet issue to try to jeopardise China. The CTA also knows that but their greed for money is strong that they betray their own people. They sold the Tibet cause to the west for their own interest. If you wonder why the Tibetans lost their country, this is the reason.

A democratic government is elected by the people to work for the people. The boss is the people, not the government. However, the CTA does not run its so-called democratic government this way. They run their government like it is their family business, they disregard the welfare and the voice of the Tibetans. They only want to benefit themselves.

Not only they disregard the welfare of the Tibetans, they further exploit the Tibetans by encouraging them to self-immolate. They told the Tibetans it is a great honour to sacrifice their lives for free Tibet movement and they will be remembered. Many Tibetans in Tibet believe what the CTA says and they sacrifice their own lives.

These self-immolation cases are then used by the CTA to ask for donations from the west. This is so evil, the CTA manipulate the Tibetans to sacrifice their lives so their wallets continue to grow fatter! No government will want unnecessary sacrifice of lives, but the CTA seems to be quite happy to see more self-immolation cases.

The more self-immolation cases, the merrier Lobsang Sangay and the CTA are. They need more cases to make China looks bad and to ask for more money. They are murderers, they encourage Tibetans in Tibet to self-immolate by glorifying their action. They brainwash them into believing it is an honour to die for Tibet and the Dalai Lama.

However, with the decreasing number of Tibetans arriving in India, it might be a good indication that CTA is losing their influence in Tibet. Recently, China even brought a human right activist to visit Tibet, to show them how much progress China has brought to Tibetans. It is also to show that the Tibetans are not suppressed of their religion and culture.

With the decreasing number of Tibetans arriving in India from China and more Tibetans leaving the exile community, CTA will become redundant and eventually they will not be needed anymore. At the moment there are about 80,000 Tibetans in the exile community, it will definitely reduce even further as many have migrated overseas or become Indian citizens. Sooner or later, their sponsors will also stop giving them financial aids.

It has already started. Many Tibetans are now taking up citizenship with India... so that means they are no longer under CTA and CTA can no longer tell them what to do. Instead of encouraging Tibetans to self-immolate, wouldn't it be smart for the CTA to encourage those 'heroes' to flee China and join the Tibetan schools in India? In that way, the CTA can continue to use that to show the patriotism of Tibetans and proof to the world that the Tibetan cause is still valid, and eventually get more donations for the schools? The CTA has somehow lost their bearings and wonder off their real intention which is to get as much money from the world as possible.

At the rate they are encouraging self-immolation, soon there will be more people attending meetings about students and eating momos than the students themselves. CTA is irrelevant.

Number of students declining in Tibetan schools

Reason: Low birth rate, emigration of Tibetan youths due to lack of opportunities & sharp decline in new arrivals from Tibet

The number of students in Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), an integrated charitable organisation run by the Tibetan government-in-exile, is decreasing. 

Tibetan Children’s Village, Central School for Tibetans (CST), Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society, Tibetan Homes Foundation and The Snow Lion Foundation are some schools run for the children of Tibetans-in-exile.

These schools focus on the preservation of Bhoti language and culture-in-exile. Earlier, children from Tibet and north-eastern states of India used to study at these schools.

Many foreign agencies used to sponsor the education of Tibetan children-in-exile. But now, the number of students in the Tibetan schools is decreasing. The reason cited for this decline is low birth rate, emigration of a large number of Tibetan youths and even the middle-aged due to severe lack of opportunities and sharp decline in new arrivals from Tibet. 

The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) organised the seventh Tibetan General Conference on education to take up the challenges posed by the dwindling number of Tibetan students-in-exile.

The three-day conference was held from February 23 to February 25 at the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Secretariat conference hall. 

An estimated 250 participants comprising principals, directors, teachers and counsellors from 76 Tibetan schools in Nepal and India reportedly attended the conference. Representatives from weekend schools from five countries in the west also participated.

The other agendas addressed were how to enhance the caliber of principals and headmasters, ways to improve the basic education policy for Tibetans-in-exile, while adding “secular ethics” to the policy and to change the existing outlook towards vocational education in schools.

CTA president Lobsang Sangay presided over at the inaugural ceremony of the conference as the chief guest, while the speaker of the Tibetan Parliament, the standing committee and other members of the exile administrations and heads of various autonomous bodies of the CTA were also present.

The general conference on education is the largest gathering of teachers and school administrators on the education policy of the Tibetans-in-exile community and is organised by the Department of Education, CTA, once in every five years.

Lobsang Sangay will continue to encourage the Tibetans to self-immolate so they can have a stronger case to complain about China and make China look bad. Lobsang Sangay needs to use the death cases to make his suffering stories look more real, self-immolation is perfect for that. Lobsang Sangay can use death cases to make money shows you how evil and greedy he is, life does not seem to be valuable to him. He cares about money more than anything else.

Why doesn't he walk the talk if he really thinks it is patriotic to do so and endorses such books while he is in office?

He should do it too since good leaders lead by example! Then that would show his sincerity and perhaps even give him a 5-minute news headline. Sadly that is it!
