Fed up of waiting, Nepal embraces China

Recent years have seen an increase in China’s global influence more than ever before and it has become apparent that China is now the world’s foremost superpower, exceeding even the United States of America. Knowing this, it would be foolhardy for countries in the region not to be part of this growth; logically, opposing China will simply bring about more loss than gain.

Friendship with the Chinese now signals prosperity, growth, profit and wealth. That kind of economic uptick is usually accompanied by an expansion in all areas of life, from infrastructure, housing and medical advancements to education and even protection from China’s military might. With that kind of potential, it is little wonder that so many countries are scrambling to get on China’s good side.

So interested are they in forging positive relationships with China, that some of these countries have even banned His Holiness the Dalai Lama from entering their borders, as Mongolia did in 2016. Furthermore, the Central Tibetan Administration’s bungling and blunders have offended many nations and they are fast losing the support of their allies...Full Article here: http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/fed-up-of-waiting-nepal-embraces-china/

CTA had better wake up before they end up in limbo and cause their own people, especially those who cannot afford to migrate will become stateless.

If the CTA ever concerns about its people, they will not remain a refugee after 60 years. Can you imagine for 60 years nothing has improved for the Tibetan refugees in India? I cannot understand how the CTA manage to get away for 60 years by using His Holiness the Dalai Lama's name and not needing to improve. You know how bad this reflect on His Holiness? Whatever he has said, all his Dharma teachings, have no effect on the CTA and they have gone completely opposite His Holiness' wish and vision for humanity.

Well, for far too long, CTA has been capitalising not on the Tibetans’ high reverence of the Dalai Lama and also the tremendous global support of the Dalai Lama from the world at large. CTA’s continuous abuse of democratic principles is the lack of accountability imposed on CTA due to such huge admiration and credibility of the Dalai Lama. Thus, many overlooked to scrutiny the questionable conduct of CTA or refused to really address the issues.

The only silver lining now is that after all these years, more and more are finally becoming vocal about CTA’s problematic bordering unscrupulous leadership decisions and from both Tibetans and foreign supporters. Guess, it is really better late than never as it way past time for people to take CTA to task and stop blindly supporting CTA.

Nepal has made the right decision to keep its distance away from the CTA. China has helped Nepal financially quite a lot which is much needed. What has CTA contribute towards the development of Nepal? Nothing really.

As long as CTA is still against China and continue to condemn China, more countries will cut their ties with them. Nepal is not the only one, lately, Taiwan as well. Other countries in Europe and Africa have also announce not to have anything to do with CTA.

Lobsang Sangay still want to act arrogantly. The Tibetan cause is a lost cause, everyone knows it. There is no point pursing it. Lobsang Sangay should just go for the Middle Way approach which is more practical.

China has developed so much and many countries are looking forward to working with China as it will bring financial growth to their country. The time to say China is wrong and bad with regards to Tibet has already gone. No one really wants to risk their relationship with China and would rather close their door for Dalai Lama and be a distance from him. China has biggest influence in the world now and with his statement or comment, it will give an impact. As long as you are looking forward to working with China, then one has to be extra careful with the Dalai Lama issue. There will be no more Tibetan cause for the world but only financial growth with China.

There are so many humanity issue in other countries, why is the US not saying anything about it? Internally, racism is a big problem in the US. Islamophobia is another serious issue. The US might be a land where dreams come true for some people but it is also a land where tolerance level to differences is not as high as we think it is.

We can see on the internet that there are many racist cases where the white people in the US are discriminating people of colour. If the American can't even solve the inequality problem in their own country, how can they condemn and criticise other country? It is not hard to see everything the US is doing, there is a motive behind it.

The US likes to portray itself as the big brother and hero of the world, but they are not. The US government will only act like a hero when there is a benefit. Are they really righteous? Not really.

China's influences are great now and no one would want to take any risk to jeopardize their relationship with China for Dalai Lama. Look, even India who is the host for Tibetan and has been supporting Tibetan for 60 years, has changed their way of treating Tibetan in India now.

Tibetan leadership really has to strategize to be in the Chinese good book and stop all the actions that will irk the Chinese. Tibetan leadership needs to remember that no one will be nice to you if you have offended them. How they want the Chinese to consider their request for dialogue when the Tibetan keeps finding ways to defame them, put them down and keep getting other countries to be involved in their cause.

Tibetan leadership needs to stop all that and start to show support instead.

It is better for Nepal to go with China because China can help Nepal to develop their country with all their resources. Just look at Tibet and compare the Tibet before Chinese's intervention and the Tibet after Chinese's intervention. There are so much of difference and Tibet is more much better now.

Tibet progress from a country that has a 95% poverty rate to almost eradicated poverty this year. Soon, Tibet will be a poverty-free country with miles of highways connecting remote areas of Tibet with the cities. CTA will never be able to do this for Tibet due to their limited funds and selfish behaviour.

CTA never stops irritating the Chinese even though they know that at this point in time with the Chinese growing influences no other countries will want to help the Tibetan in exile. From the recent experience, many countries already rejected Dalai Lama visits and obviously they don't want to offend the Chinese and jeopardize their relationship to bring economic growth in their country. CTA knows this well but still keeps condemning the Chinese which they know very well this definitely close the door from the Chinese for any dialogue that the Dalai Lama is requesting for. Why CTA purposely doing this? CTA?.... I think we can just conclude that actually the real enemy to Dalai Lama and Tibetan. For the longest time, CTA and Dalai Lama keep talking about Chinese spy and now we can see who is the spy that sabotaging Dalai Lama wishes to return to Tibet and he is ok to live under the Chinese. Unfortunately, CTA has a different opinion in which they are looking full independence when they know it's impossible. Instead of fulfilling Dalai Lama wishes, CTA chooses to go against him. Tibetan's faith is at risk under CTA and most of them know. That's is why many Tibetans move out of India to look for a better opportunity.

You are right to say that. Big corporations that regarded Taiwan as an independent state was boycotted by the Chinese government. They were told to issue a statement of apology otherwise they can close down their business and get out of China. Of course, money is more important, these businesses abide by the rules set by the Chinese government and act accordingly.

China is getting more powerful everyday. If the you don't want to lose out, it is better to play by the rules set by the Chinese government. The CTA does not seem to understand this. China has Tibet under control, the CTA is no longer such a big threat to China. If the CTA really wants to bring the Tibetans back to Tibet, they have no choice but to humble down and request China for that.

China will conquer the world with its trillion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative. And the CTA thinks to send a monk around the world with a plastic dove on a butter lamp is going to encourage dialogue with China?  ;D ;D ;D So funny! Really duh man. >>> A Monk on a Mission: Urging “Dialogue For Peace” tour final leg in Switzerland https://tibet.net/monk-on-mission-urging-dialogue-for-peace-tour-final-leg-in-switzerland/

China signs nearly 200 deals for new Silk Road projects & eyes further expansion

China’s trillion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), also known as “One Belt, One Road,” has already attracted nearly 170 participants, Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced, vowing to further develop the project.

“To date, China has signed 197 documents on Belt and Road cooperation with 137 countries and 30 international organizations,” he said in the opening speech at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Tuesday.

The development of the initiative, which is aimed at boosting trade connections across the world and linking China with other countries, is a central part of plans to open up the Chinese market, according to Xi. Other proposed measures include boosting investment and imports, lowering tariffs, developing free-trade zones, improving business environment as well as deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

“Standing at a new historical starting point, China will open its door only wider to the world,” Xi stated, calling for other countries to “stand firm against protectionism and unilateralism.”

The ambitious BRI, launched in September 2013 by President Xi, could cost Beijing up to $1.3 trillion by 2027, according to Morgan Stanley’s estimates. China’s cumulative investment in the BRI countries has already surpassed $100 billion, with the value of the construction projects exceeding $720 billion, Vice-Minister of Commerce Qian Keming said in September.

It's really funny especially the comparison you made between the two government. I am not saying the monk is wrong. If he is just a normal monk who initiated this campaign in order to raise global awareness, then I think no one will say anything. However with his title "Member of Tibetan Parliament in Exile", he is representing the CTA. Then it's also fair for anyone to compare the work between the two governments.  And that's the funny part.
