How sad to see all these happening around the Dalai Lama. Whatever he has developed just tarnish by the people around him. But looking at another angle, why Dalai Lama didn’t say anything at all? His silent is like an approval for them to do so. Why for Dorje Shugden practitioners which didn’t harm anyone, but being targeted, ostracised and discriminated but for those people around him that directly hurting people and bringing down his reputation and the value of Buddhism are being protected?

Which is more harmful here and why Tibetan still can see this? Why they still blindly follow which proven it doesn't work. Look at how Tibetan lost their country, look at how CTA never bring any positive progress after 60 years in India, look at how CTA encourage self-immolation that purely used Tibetan to sacrifices for their own benefit. Why Tibetan leadership didn't look back into this fundamental needs and set priority to improve the condition for their people here instead the people just keep bringing problem to the Dalai Lama.

In my opinion, the Dalai Lama has to take some responsibility also. He probably has been covering people up over the years and these people think the Dalai Lama will continue to do that for them. If the Dalai Lama does something different, ie to openly condemn the behaviour of these criminals, no one will dare to use his name anymore.

The Dalai Lama is not above the law, he has to follow the rules as well. Just because he is a reincarnated lama, it does not mean he can do anything that he wants and everyone has to give way to him. It might be the case in the old Tibet but in the modern world, everyone has to abide by the law.

The reason the Tibetan leadership fails in so many things is that they still have the mentality of the older days, thinking they are above all. Even though they say they are democratic but they don't really understand what it means. There is still favouritism and nepotism in the Tibetan leadership.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama should say something about the people around him that is using his name to do bad things. His Holiness's influence is very strong and powerful and sometimes, it can be used in an inappropriate way by bad disciples. Sogyal and Dagri are examples of bad disciples who used Dalai Lama's name to escape from the law.

Sogyal and Dagri both committed sexual abuse offence on their student and both of them tried to use His Holiness's name to avoid the persecution of the law. However, Dagri failed and got arrested in the end. He is now having a trial in the Indian court.

His Holiness should be very stern with people who tried to use his name inappropriately. It may cause unimaginable damage to people who had faith in the supreme leader of peace. When Dagri's actions are exposed, many Buddhist and students will be affected by his actions negatively. Hence, His Holiness should do something about it to prevent future similar cases from happening again.

You are right! The law applied should come from the highest and then only uniformity will follow through in the law applied to all. The leaders have the responsibility to look out for and squash any negative actions immediately so that it does not develop as an acceptable example for others to follow. The Dalai Lama always says that he had already known of the sexual allegations years and years before but he had never ever made the move to cut off this wrongness from affecting his people, the Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. It is really shameful and a total disregard for his people.

Without the necessary condition, Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen cannot arise as a Dharma protector. Hence, the assassination must go on for this purpose. However, that does not mean the ministers are guilt free. They are still guilty because they themselves chose to assassinate a holy being.

This is true... they must have had that kind of karma to commit that kind of crime in the first place. How unfortunate for them because the karmic repercussion must be very heavy. I cannot imagine where they are at the moment.

Because of the incident, we have a supreme protector that guards Lama Tsongkhapa's special teaching. The wisdom of the Buddhas is incomprehensible for beings like us since we lack wisdom. All we can do is to have faith and trust in the Buddhas and our Guru.

What if you have a Guru like Dagri? What would you do? Do you still trust? Very sticky subject... wonder who is wise enough to give a good logical explanation on this 8) ???

I guess the assassinators of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen will be in Vajra Hell now for killing a holy being. This hell is the worst hot hells that anyone can go to because of it's intense suffering. The suffering here is the highest among all the hells as beings reborn in this hell will have no moment to rest from all the sufferings. Hence, it is also called the Hell of Uninterrupted Pain.

For the Dagri incident, it is a piece of very tragic news for Dagri's disciples because it will mean that all the vows that they had taken are not valid because Dagri is not qualified to give the vows to another person since he had broken a major vow.

By right, he is no longer a monk due to the broken major vow. Hence the disciples are in a very difficult position and they should consult someone who is higher in rank such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama to clear their doubt.

This is really bad. How can Robert use such way and some more he represents the Dalai Lama. Robert is going against the law and ethics. How can Dalai Lama keep quiet on this too? Shouldn't Dalai Lama say something? Cannot just allow Robert to do such illegal stuff and let him go. What a shame and how can Dalai Lama agree with this?

Robert Thurman is so arrogant and thinks that he can do whatever he wants. I guess being the "His Holiness's man in American" got to his head and he forgot that the law applies to him as well. He had done alot of illegal things such as soliciting hackers and hiring trolls online to attack his enemies.

Everyone knows that he is working for Dhardon Sharling before she left CTA and CTA is paying him to attack the Shugden people. What kind of Buddhism he is practising that is full of hate and discrimination. He has been attacking Shugden people online by calling them nasty names and vulgarities.

It is clear that Robert has nothing to say about Shugden and he resorts to using rude and nasty names to attack the Shugden people. This is the best he can do because the Dorje Shugden ban is illogical and it is not illegal to practice the religion.

We can this quite clear that the people around the Dalai Lama does damage him the most. From the assassination of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen until now with all sort of scandals with CTA and the people around Dalai Lama.

But I believe Dalai Lama can do something about this. If we say he's Chenrezig then sure he can do something. I'm not saying he can handle everything but sure at a very minimal level. Dalai Lama can't allow all these to keep happening to him as people will lose faith in him and as well as Buddhism.

If you say His Holiness is Buddha Chenrezig, it is impossible for him to not able to handle any issue. It is illogical to say the Buddha who has perfect wisdom and clairvoyance to not know what is going on. I believe His Holiness let everything happen because it is necessary for those events to occur in order to bring greater benefits to the world.

Dorje Shugden practice is a very popular practice now because of the Dorje Shugden ban that made it controversial. Everyone likes controversy and the ban successfully garner attention from the entire world on to Tibetan Buddhism and His Holiness. Due to the ban, many more people knows about Dorje Shugden and dharmic seeds are planted.

If there is no Dorje Shugden ban, I think Dorje Shugden practice will be known only by Buddhist and it will be just like any other protector practice out there. Tibetan Buddhism has been around for many years but not one protector practice is so well known even to non-Buddhist. Hence, this is one of the divine play that His Holiness created to spread Buddhism further. I believe due to our karma in this degenerated age, traditional methods of spreading the dharma does not work anymore. That is why special methods are needed to spread Lord Buddha's teachings.

This is so sad, such a respected man like the Dalai Lama has his reputation destroyed by people who are close to him and who he trusts. His foundation is supposed to spread Dharma and bring benefits to the public. Unfortunately, people are using the Dalai Lama's name to get something for themselves.

The people who are taking advantage of the Dalai Lama are people who have great knowledge of Buddhism. It is shameful that these people such as Robert Thurman and Tenzin Dhonden making use of Dharma to get something for themselves. They are not Buddhist practitioners.

The Dalai Lama should look into these issues and do the necessary. It is not worthy to lose the reputation of the Dalai Lama overnight because of these 2 clowns. They should be banned from getting close to the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama devoted his whole life in upholding and spreading the holy teachings of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni. However, it is his own team or closest people that actually damages his effort the most. Just like Dagri Rinpoche who recently brought to court for molesting women. Later, everyone found out that this is not his first offence and where are a lot of victims.

People like Dagri Rinpoche does not represent Buddha Dharma well and they can destroy the people's faith in Buddhism when a monk who is supposed to be the representation of Buddha Dharma acted perversely towards women. This will impact His Holiness's hard work of spreading the Dharma.

Hence, CTA should really look into the people that they brought into to serve His Holiness the Dalai Lama. A good background check should be done so that His Holiness's effort is safe and not destroyed by the nasty actions of others.

To be honest, I don't think anyone in the CTA genuinely respect and love the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama to them is only a money making tool. The CTA sells the Dalai Lama and his teachings. Last year when the Dalai Lama was sick, the CTA used this as an excuse to cancel his trip to Botswana. But they immediately arranged the Dalai Lama to go on a tour in Japan! If the CTA cares about the Dalai Lama, they would have cancelled all his overseas trips not to continue to make him travel.

When the Dalai Lama made negative comments and angered people, the CTA did not do anything to protect the Dalai Lama's reputation. They just kept quiet. They did not find ways to protect the Dalai Lama. They prefer to keep quiet and sweep everything under the carpet.

Everyone in the CTA and whoever is close to the Dalai Lama are only using the Dalai Lama's name for their own benefits, they pay no respect to the Dalai Lama and they don't care about him.
