BEIJING INDIA DALAI LAMA DOKLAM This message from Beijing came days after the central government had reportedly asked leaders and officials not to attend Tibetan government-in-exile’s events featuring Dalai Lama.

In a major diplomatic breakthrough between China and India, Beijing has underlined that both the countries can take bilateral ties to the next level by shedding mental inhibitions and managing differences. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that Indian elephant and the Chinese dragon must dance together instead of fighting with each other. The Foreign Minister has asserted that If China and India are united, it will be equal to 11, according to reports.

This message from Beijing came days after the central government had reportedly asked leaders and officials not to attend Tibetan government-in-exile’s events featuring Dalai Lama. However, Ministry of External Affairs had said in a statement that India’s position and views on Dalai Lama remained unchanged. The Chinese Foreign Minister’s statement assumes diplomatic significance as he had his visit to India for the Russia-India-China trilateral meeting in April last after Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh. Wang’s had also spoken tough during Doklam stand-off. Also these statements came after Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale met Wang on February 23.

Wang said that as the largest developing countries, each with a population of more than one billion, China and India must do everything to empathise and support each other and to avoid mutual suspicion and attrition. Wang underlined that “Mutual trust” is the most precious commodity in China-India relations. He asserted that even Himalayas can stop Beijing and New Delhi from friendly exchanges if there is a “political trust”. But Chinese Foreign Minister also cautioned that without political trust not even levelled land can bring the neighbours closer and together.

This statement is also significant as in 2017, India and China were reportedly locked in a 73-day-long standoff in Dokalam. The standoff ended on August 28 after the Chinese troop had stopped road building close to the strategic Chicken Neck corridor in an area claimed by Bhutan, according to reports.

When China calls India as the Elephant and the Chinese the dragon, it is projecting that India is at par with China. So this olive branch, should not be ignored and should be embraced as soon as possible so about 34% of the World's population will benefit by China and India having peace and collaboration.

Too cute! Well it is inevitable that these two giant Asian countries working together hand in hand. It is time for Asia to rise and honestly, it is far more refreshing that the America and EU. Now they are all crawling on their knees at China's feet as one by one China helps their economy, of course there is a price for everything.

Only time will tell how India will gain from this but for sure it will gain and prosper. And the closer these two countries become, the better for us Shugden people because then the CTA will stop abusing us as India will not tolerate no more and ask them to shut up! This is why I support their friendship. All this would not happen if Dalai Lama did not ban Dorje Shugden and said this practice was dangerous for him and Tibet Cause. Only way is to reverse it and it can only be done by Dalai Lama himself. Maybe he is doing it by returning to Tibet. What can do you expect when he goes back? No way he can condemn DS there. No way!

The dragon and elephant have always been dancing together for as long as they have been neighbour for thousands of years. They share their knowledge, culture, food, good things etc. They trade and travel to each other's countries and learn from each other. Keep it that way and make yourselves the next global leader in economy, knowledge and bring your ancient and wonderful culture to all. Make Chinese and Hindi the main languages of the world!

The dragon and the elephant danced together harmoniously.

Looks like Modi and Xi had an awesome meeting and LS aka CTA can take a hike. Their cool, relaxed and lengthy meeting signals India and China's warm relationship which will become stronger after this meeting especially since Xi suggests to improve the level of military security exchanges and cooperation.

And this will surely make India happier being welcomed to enter the Chinese market now, "We welcome Indian pharmaceutical and information technology companies to invest and cooperate in China," Xi said, apparently referring to India's persistent demand that China should open up its pharma sector for Indian companies to address the trade deficit.

Sorry CTA, India has bigger, brighter future to look forward to and the last thing she needs is for Tibet issue to create problems for them.

Dragon and Elephant Dance Only Correct Choice for China, India, Says Xi After Summit With Modi

PM Modi and Xi discussed major international and regional issues of common interest in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in Mahabalipuram in Chennai.

Beijing: Calling for a long-term plan to develop India-China relations, Chinese President Xi Jinping who had lengthy meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai said bilateral differences should not be allowed to "dilute" the cooperation and the dance of the dragon and the elephant is the only "correct choice" for both sides.

A lengthy report by the state-run Xinhua news agency on Saturday on the two days of talks between Modi and Xi at Mamallapuram said the two leaders had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on China-India relations and the president said, "We should carefully handle issues concerning each other's core interests. We should properly manage and control problems that cannot be solved for the time being."

The two leaders also discussed major international and regional issues of common interest in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, it said.
Xi pointed out that since his successful meeting with Modi in Wuhan last year, China-India relations have entered a new stage of sound and stable development, and the positive effects of the meeting are constantly emerging.
The Chinese president, who had several hours of talks with Modi during their 2nd informal summit on Friday and Saturday, proposed a six-point formula for the continuous development of ties without letting the differences disrupting the relations, the report said.

First, we should take a correct view of each other's development and enhance strategic mutual trust, Xinhua quoted Xi as saying in the detailed report filed on the the talks.

After the two-day talks, which mostly confined to the conversations between the two leaders in a relaxed manner followed by delegation level talks in the end, Xi said no matter from any point of view, China and India should be good neighbours and good partners who live in harmony and move forward hand in hand."

Dragon and the elephant dance is the only correct choice for China and India, which is in the fundamental interests of both countries and their people," he said, without specifying differences between the two countries.
Differences between the two countries should be viewed in a correct way. We should not let them dilute the overall interests of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, we should seek understanding through communication and constantly resolve differences," Xi said.

He suggested that both countries should carry out strategic communication in a timely and effective manner, enhance mutual understanding and cooperation, and firmly grasp the general direction of the development of bilateral relations.

Focus on friendship and cooperation, resolve suspicions and doubts, and properly handle differences and sensitive issues," he was quoted as saying.
Stating that the next few years would be critical for the two countries, Xi said, The two countries should and certainly can embark on a bright road of friendly cooperation.

On the border dispute along the 3,488 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC), Xi said in accordance with the agreement on political guiding principles, we will seek a fair and reasonable solution to the border issue that is acceptable to both sides.

We should carefully handle issues concerning each other's core interests. We should properly manage and control problems that cannot be solved for the time being," he said.

Xi also suggested that both the countries should improve the level of military security exchanges and cooperation.

"We should promote the development of military-to-military relations in the right direction of enhancing trust, clearing up misgivings and friendly cooperation," he said.

"We should carry out professional cooperation, joint exercises and training, enhance mutual trust between the two militaries, strengthen cooperation between law enforcement and security departments, and maintain regional security and stability," he said.
"
On India's complaint of trade deficit which mounted to over $57 billion last year in over $95 billions of total trade, Xi said We should take the establishment of the high-level economic and trade dialogue as an opportunity to synergise our economic development strategies and explore the establishment of a manufacturing partnership."

"We welcome Indian pharmaceutical and information technology companies to invest and cooperate in China," Xi said, apparently referring to India's persistent demand that China should open up its pharma sector for Indian companies to address the trade deficit.

He also mooted China-India Plus formula for the two countries to forge ties with countries in neighbourhood and Africa.

Xi also called for strengthening coordination within the framework of the G20, BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and Russia-India-China (RIC) and other multilateral mechanisms. He said both the countries should enrich cultural and people-to-people exchanges and cement the foundation of friendship.

"We should ensure the success of next year's celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the China-India year of people-to-people exchanges," Xi said.

"We will support China's Fujian province in establishing friendship city relations with Tamil Nadu, Guangzhou and Chennai, and write a new chapter in the history of the maritime silk road," he said.

Under the current international situation, Xi said, China and India should shoulder increasingly important responsibilities in maintaining global stability and promoting development.

As long as you listen to the Chinese, both parties will gain a win-win situation. For India, it’s a big gain but India must able to control the Tibetan carefully as it can be easily ruined by CTA. This is good news for India but definitely not for CTA. The situation is tenser for CTA and they really need to watch their steps and India will not hesitate to take any drastic action to maintain their good relationship with China. CTA should realize that there is no help from anywhere that can help them but only themselves. CTA should stop irritating the Chinese and should do something to be in the Chinese good book. IF they want to return to Tibet, they are going to be under the Chinese and if now before under the Chinese the Tibetan can't even do anything to support, under what circumstances the Tibetan will able to live under the Chinese when they return?

Working with China brings more benefits than damages. India is strong, but if they work with China, it will make them stronger. China and India are the two most powerful Asian countries, if they work together, they will make Asia the most powerful continent.

We have been under the mercy of western block since the 19th century, it is time to rise and be the leader of the world. China believes in the win-win approach, as the Chinese are getting something, they are willing to give something. Therefore, it us beneficial to work with China.

The CTA has to accept the fact and do something to befriend with China if they truly want to give Tibetans in exile a better future. The economy of the US and Europe are in trouble now, they will not be able to continue to help the CTA financially. If the CTA loses their support, they will not survive.

CTA should stop asking help from America and any other country as their only lifeline is the Chinese. No other country would able to help the Tibetan but only themselves to accept that they really lost their country and they have to live under China and cooperate with China. Stop fighting with China and cooperate.

The time is ticking and India will not be the same as before. If CTA still do not realize this it will only create more suffering to the Tibetan.
