Rangzen conference participants call on the Dalai Lama
« on: May 27, 2018, 04:40:32 PM »
Quote
DHARAMSHALA, MAY 25: Over a hundred Tibetan activists, students and community leaders from India, Nepal, United States of America and Europe who are participating in the fifth International Rangzen Conference called on the Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama earlier today before beginning the concluding session of the conference.

Prominent Rangzen activists and supporters like Jamyang Norbu, Tibetan writer Tenzin Tsundue, Tibetologist Dibyesh Anand were among the audience with the Tibetan leader at the latter’s residence here.

Tenzin Tsundue, a member of the conference organizing committee said he felt good to be able to see the Tibetan leader. “Whether one supports Independence or the Middle Way Approach, it is for Tibet, and His Holiness is our leader,” said Tsundue.

Jamyang Norbu, who is often at the receiving end of public anger for his articles that are critical of the Tibetan leader’s views on Tibet’s future, said he was elated to have been able to get blessings of His Holiness. “I am very glad that the organizers have managed to arrange this audience with His Holiness, as I had wished to see His Holiness and seek his blessing,” said Norbu, who is often seen as somebody critical of the Tibetan leader’s views and the Middle Way Approach, the official policy of the Central Tibetan Administration.

“The conference went very good, and this audience was the topping on the ice-cream,” Norbu said.

The three-day meeting reviewed the Tibetan freedom movement and discussed issues ranging from the ongoing crisis in Tibet to finding creative and practical steps in the freedom movement.

The official position of the Tibetan exile government (officially known as the Central Tibetan Administration) is the Middle Way Approach, to seek genuine autonomy within the People’s Republic of China. However, there are people like Norbu and Tsundue who believe Tibet’s independence is the only solution.

In various exile communities, especially in New York city, there were confrontations in the past between Tibetans supporting the two different stands for future Tibet. In India, there have been cases of organizations, monasteries and institutes cutting off ties with bodies and individuals supporting Rangzen as there is a general belief that they disagree with the Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama, the proponent of the MWA.

The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, came under criticism from within the community for renting their space out for a similar meeting in the past. However, the Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has repeatedly made clear in the past that differences of opinion regarding future of Tibet was but natural and that Rangzen supporters have every right to hold on to their belief.

Former Kalon Tripa Prof Samdhong Rinpoche, on September 5, 2013, said, "The general view that those who do not support the Middle Way approach (Umey Lam) are against His Holiness the Dalai Lama is wrong. The MWA, no doubt, was proposed by His Holiness but it was through all the required democratic processes that it became the official policy with the eventual approval from the Tibetan parliament."

This is quite an interesting piece of news, Rangzen people have been called more dangerous than Dorje Shugden people. Now the Dalai Lama grants them an audience, naturally the Rangzen people are over the moon.

Wow this is a new Dalai Lama and CTA? They allow people of differing views to exist within their periphery?
Interesting times, wonder when the Dalai Lama will allow Dorje Shugden to meet back with His Holiness.

Professor Samdhong Rinpoche said the rangzen people are more dangerous than the Shugden people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn62-WmDFg4. How come an audience is granted to them but not Shugden people despite many appeals and requests. Anyway, the recent change of events and attitude towards the Chinese Panchen Lama and rangzen people, the request to want to return to China are a big shift of political directions that are inevitably efforts to pave the path for the eventual return to Tibet.

Shugdenpas are only interested to be able to practice freely. Rangzens, on the other hand, have their own political agendas. It is people with political agendas who are really dangerous. But what I don't understand is why HHDL granting them an audience when they are clearly not supporting HHDL's Umaylam. And Shudgdenpas are denied even to attend his teachings. Double standards!

That's very simple. The Dalai Lama is after all still the head/the King and no matter how they relabeled repackaged this, the fact is he is still the leader and he needs all everyone to follow his agenda, even if they dislike or disagree with him, they still need to support his wishes. He needs to get everyone together on this and to reduce the China bashing protest in order to get himself back to Tibet. He needs to get back to Tibet desperately, it is crucial for whatever reasons he has, and it is now very clear, time is short as he has cancer (group country karma)... http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/the-dalai-lamas-health-concerns/
And in this article, you can see how the Dalai Lama has blatantly lied about his health for 2 whole years. So if he can lie about that, he can definitely lie about Dorje Shugden and all the bad he's been saying about Shugden.

What I don't understand is how come the Dalai Lama can embrace even the Rangzen who directly opposes him but he still does not accept Dorje Shugden practitioners? I am waiting for this day to happen since he said we have "free will" to choose what we practice and since he preaches "religious tolerance".

And what I do not understand is why does the stupid CTA keep on instigating hate towards China in everything they do? Like Sangay and Dhardon Starling's awful "Thank You Indian 2018" speeches which was condemning China. Like why do they ask to please allow Dalai Lama back in China, but on the other hand shout that China is bad? WHy have they not call upon all their Western supporters to stop antagonizing China online and offline? Why would they even hire trolls and try to hire hackers online like what Mr. Robert Thurman did? SHAMEFUL.

All this does not help Dalai Lama's mission one bit. So who is really more dangerous now? The Rangzens or the Central Tibetan Administration themselves? I say the latter.

Didn't the Dalai Lama say he only wants autonomous recognition from China? Why is he meeting the Rangzen people? Why is there still a need for a Rangzen conference?

So what does the Dalai Lama really wants? Rangzen or be part of China? He has to make up his mind. China will not be happy knowing he is meeting with the Rangzen people. How is China going to trust the Dalai Lama or CTA because they always do the opposite of what they say. Then CTA turns around and says China is bad, China does not want to talk to them. From the beginning until today, China has never changed its stance on Tibet being part of China. The Dalai Lama and CTA are the ones who always change their mind.

Show some sincerity if autonomous recognition is really the way to go, please China so there is a chance China will talk to CTA. There is still something CTA can do for the Tibetan in-exile, that is to bring the Tibetans back to Tibet, China and end their agony of being stateless for the past 60 years.

Dalai Lama's meeting with Jamyang Norbu from the Rangzen side is because he would like to probably appeal to them to ask the Rangzen group to hush up and unite if possible because he wants to return to China. I think the Dalai Lama realises there is no hope is getting a Free Tibet but there is still hope and a chance for him to see his people and advice them before it is too late as he is not getting any younger. I believe the Dalai Lama truly loves his people and would like to see them the very last time.

If the Dalai Lama does not want to go back to China, then why did he send his close buddy Samdhong over there without informing India first which they know they should have. So, you see, Dalai Lama is making preparations, perhaps his final preparations, which is unfortunate and sad, but we all must be prepared for this day to come.

This is so confusing, the Dalai Lama had a very pleasant and fruitful meeting with the Rangzen group? Didn't the Dalai Lama want to go back to China and wants only autonomous recognition for Tibet? What is the meeting all about?

If the Dalai Lama truly wants an autonomous recognition for Tibet, he should not have met with the Rangzen people. By meeting the Rangzen people, he is endorsing them. Is this his trick? He wants to be friendly to different groups so if one of them succeed in their pursuit, he can still be part of it?

Why can't the Dalai Lama be firm of what he wants? If he is firm, his wish of going back to Tibet can be fulfilled. If he has the power to influence the CTA and the monasteries to impose the Dorje Shugden ban, he will have the power to influence the activists also.  He is getting old, he should do something before it is too late.

This is so weird. I thought His Holiness the Dalai Lama is currently pushing for Umaylam which is the middle way approach for Tibet? Why would he want to meet up with Rangzen supporters who are opposing him openly and publicly? The Rangzen supporters have been openly talking bad of China and supporting the independence of Tibet which is not helping with what His Holiness wants to achieve currently.

Their actions of talking bad about China will only make it harder for His Holiness to be accepted by China. His Holiness has been showing efforts to be on China's good book and Rangzen people has been destroying His Holiness's plans. China will be confused about what the Tibetans want to do because on one side we are making friends with them and on the other side Rangzen people are criticising China. This confuses China about the Tibetan's stance on the issue.

His Holiness's stance on Dorje Shugden issue is totally different. He rejected Dorje Shugden people and refused to have anything to do with us. How can His Holiness treat Rangzen and Dorje Shugden people differently because both of the group have a different opinion from the Dalai Lama? It is unfair for Dorje Shugden people to be treated harshly while Rangzen people are allowed to have a different opinion than His Holiness's opinion.

That will be a good laugh...CTA doing something for the Tibetan in-exile. its an un-reality that had become a fact of life for the Tibetans in-exile as they prepare for their own future (http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/tibetans-taking-indian-citizenship-worries-tibetan-leadership/) All that concerns CTA is their own pockets and being sincere does not line their pockets with sponsorships from USA and whatever countries who wish to irritate China. Besides, who is CTA to China anyway? CTA should not even exist as they have no land/country of their own and most of the exiles are already citizens of another country and CTA's laws are not applicable to these migrants. CTA is enjoying their statelessness as Lobsang Sangay goes round begging as "victims" "refugees" of Chinese tyranny. China will never trust CTA enough to even see them.

Perhaps the Dalai Lama is trying to persuade the Rangzen group to stop being so aggressive to the Free Tibet movement? Because when we think about it, if the Dalai Lama returns to Tibet then what will happen to their movement? It makes no sense for them to continue. It will also put the Dalai Lama's life in danger! Because it will create more rift in the Tibetan society. So much division in the Tibetan society, how could or rather why would China invite Dalai Lama back?

Looks like the Rangzen group is the Dalai Lama's biggest enemy.... and hence, the meeting with the Dalai Lama is like "keeping your enemies close".

Rangzen people is no doubt the biggest obstacle for His Holiness to return to Tibet. They are one of the biggest reason why His Holiness is still not able to return to Tibet because China is confused about the minds of those Tibetans. While His Holiness the Dalai Lama is telling China he wants to go back, the Rangzen group is telling China they want Independent.

It is very confusing for China and hence there is no reply from China despite His Holiness's several announcements that he wants to go back to Tibet. His Holiness should not have met with the Rangzen people because China might think His Holiness is still supporting the Rangzen movement.

His Holiness should meet up with Dorje Shugden people instead and resolve the ban. Since China is supporting religious freedom now if the Dalai Lama does something similar to show them that he is also supporting religious freedom, it will certainly send a good message to China and maybe China will not think of him less of a separationist anymore.

The Dalai Lama wants the Middle Way approach, he wants Tibet to be part of China because China can give Tibetans a better and brighter future. In fact, the Chinese government has proven themselves to be a good leader when they successfully brought down the poverty level in Tibet. Why is the CTA still talking about Rangzen or independent state? Why is the CTA going against the Dalai Lama? If the CTA truly respect and follow what the Dalai Lama says, please follow his instruction all the way.

CTA will not go along with Dalai Lama wishes for Middle Way approach because that will jeopardize CTA continue to get funding. No more Tibetan cause. CTA also will not survive under the Chinese because they are so used to work on their own and with all the corruption and scandals they will definitely be penalized. CTA is not here fo the Tibetan and Dalai Lama. They are formed to use the Tibetan and Dalai Lama for their own interests. The result of their work explain and prove that. If Dalai Lama wants to go back to Tibet and live under the Chinese then Dalai Lama has to work on his own with his people and leave CTA alone. Sad to say this but it's the truth.

No government will split its own people by imposing a ban on their spiritual practice. CTA did. No government will get involved in appointing spiritual heads in a lineage to split their practitioners but CTA did. All the actions resulted in the separation and weaken the Tibetan as a whole. Which government will do that to their own people especially like Tibetan which already lost their country and being refugees in other countries.

It's really sad to see this but that has been the Tibetan leadership culture and if to change this, it's either to live under the Chinese or reappoint the Tibetan leadership.
