Tibetans show how hated 'President' Lobsang Sangay is by cancelling big event

Needless to say, the Tibetan situation is getting worse. Most Tibetans despise Lobsang Sangay because they know he is corrupt, pocketed millions to fund his property buying and family, has done nothing for the Tibet cause, and lies. He has made no headway with China for the sake of the Tibetans in Tibet and around the world as the Dalai Lama ages fast. The Tibetans can never have a leader they agree upon nor have harmony because their karma is coming back. Tibetan government exile should go ahead and create more disharmony using religion and lies and see that nothing will go right for them. Things will get worse.

DHARAMSHALA, Dec. 3: The leaders of the Tibetan Community Australia NSW Inc. has cancelled the annual commemorative gathering of Tibetans in Sydney, Australia on December 10, the anniversary of the Dalai Lama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, citing fears of infighting among Tibetans over the invitation of the Tibetan President.

Days ago, the executive members of the Tibetan Community of Australia, New South Wales announced the cancellation of the event saying they received Wechat messages, calls and emails that threatened of protests against President of the Central Tibetan Administration Dr. Lobsang Sangay as they were opposed to his decision to oust the former NA representative, among other things.

The leaders also said that there are many Tibetans who threaten to protest if the event is held without the Tibetan President.

A five-page announcement said that the executive members led by president Nigan had to cancel the event over the fear of infighting and potential confrontations that may malign the reputation of the Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama and cause concern for Tibetans inside Tibet.

While the executive leaders have told Tibet Sun that the decision to cancel the event was taken together by the committee, Lhakpa Tshoko, the Representative of the Dalai Lama for Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia at the Tibet Information Office, Canberra, Australia, has issued a statement on Saturday saying that the decision was vetoed by community president Nigan and few other members of the committee who are known to be opposed to Sangay.

A Tibetan netizen from Australia, Sherab Dhondup, wrote on Facebook, “This is completely irresponsible and unilateral decision of 15th Tibetan community centre of NSW. This is nothing to do with whether you are in the favour of Syikyong or against. It is an act of disrespect for Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetan people. This kind of personal emotional irrational activities in the name of Tibetan people should stop. So I personally condemn the decision made by 15th Tibetan community centre of NSW.”

The President of the exile Tibetan government, known officially as the Central Tibetan Administration is set to to attend the Thank You Australia Event in Canberra on December 5, as part of the yearlong ‘Thank You’ campaign by the CTA.

I can say with a great deal of confidence that he is not my leader. I do not, cannot and will not vote for someone who is

1) racist

2) sexist and silence against the abuse of women

3) an adulterer who encourages him underlings to sleep with him

4) regionalist. When we first came into exile, we put regionalism aside for the greater good. The fact Sangye fosters regionalism now is a sign that that we have the LUXURY of being disunited. But is that really true? Do we REALLY have that luxury?

Sherab Dhondup, khatsum, wake up and smell the coffee. Just because someone is Tibetan doesn't mean EVERYTHING they do is right and has to be supported. Supporting a leader like this is the REAL ACT of disrespect for the CTA and Tibetan people. We deserve to be represented by someone better!

Poor Lobsang Sangay! Now his own people are protesting against him and his luxury trips to spend the free money supposedly used for the Tibet lost cause. Since the cause is lost, he needs to find things to do and get that money spent. His midget lover Dhardon Sharling must be very disappointed with the cancelled plan because occasions like this are their opportunity to hang out together. They would normally spend time together at the hotel, dine at the finest restaurants, and pretend to be talking about work.

Dhardon Sharling loves Lobsang Sangay very much. In order to maintain the relationship, she faked a married to a Tibetan refugee. Her family and friends didn't know about it because she doesn't need their prayers for a fake marriage.

It is good that more Tibetans are challenging the CTA and Lobsang Sangay. As the Tibetans are exposed to the world outside and more open-minded, they will notice what the CTA and Lobsang Sangay are doing is not right. They are only using the Tibetans to make money for themselves.

Tibetan community outside of Tibet seems to be falling apart. As more issues in the CTA surface, the community is divided further into even more smaller groups. With so many groups holding different opinions, how is the Tibet cause going to be a success?

It is time for the Tibetans to wake up and realise that the free Tibet movement is not going to be a success. They should just move on with their lives and make a better plan for their future. The CTA is not needed, they are only using the Tibetans to make money for themselves, why allow them to do that?

The cracks within the Tibetan community are getting bigger and bigger, and as thaimonk says, "Things will get worse." That will be when the cheap plaster wall the Central Tibetan Administration have erected to conceal their deceptions will collapse and reveal their true ugly nature.

Despite all their wrongdoings which Tibetans and people close to Tibetans can see, the world at large is still ignorant to the political power play of Lobsang Sangay and his cronies. If only international media will listen to the Tibetan man on the street instead of giving voice to anti-China lobbyists — who portray Lobsang Sangay as the darling of the Tibetan Cause after the Dalai Lama, championing Tibetan rights and culture — then the Tibetan Cause would have truly advanced.

I don't blame the Tibetans in diaspora for their behaviour in protesting publicly. Their views have been completely ignored and their voice silenced. The frustration they have must be overwhelming.

Lobsang Sangay says the Central Tibetan Administration are a democracy but if they are, then where is the public referendum on Dorje Shugden that claims the practice and the practitioners to be harmful to the Tibetan Cause? As far as I can see, the only thing harmful to the Tibet Cause is the Central Tibetan Administration.

As it is today, we have Tibetans fighting Tibetans to honour the "Man of Peace." If that doesn't say it clearer, then I don't know what will.



I wonder how long it will be before people act on the truth.

The Tibetans are really angry with Lobsang Sangay now. People realise he is not doing a lot of works for the Tibetan community and he is using the donations to pay for his bills. He is siphoning the money that belongs to the Tibetans.

It is so embarrassing that the annual event has to be cancelled because many people don't like him and might even hurt him. This is not surprising at all. He has been found siphoning the money, having an affair with Sharling Dhardon and sexually assaulted an intern. He may have a good qualification but he is not a good leader.

Lobsang Sangay should be worried and alarmed by now. If there is one person who stands up to go against him,  soon there will be more. Lobsang Sangay's position is shaky now, I think he will take a much as he can and then resigns before he is thrown out.

I seriously don’t see the point of all this Thank You events. Instead of wasting sponsorship $$$ on Thank You India, Thank You Australia, Thank You Whatever, it’s better to use that money to help their host country, India in terms of education or eradication of poverty. These Thank You events serve no actual benefits for the Tibetans but just a publicity stunt for the megalomaniac Sikyong who doesn’t have an actual country to run but puffs his importance by demanding countries like India to put Tibetan Cause as a priority.

Lobsang Sangay should really wake up and smell the coffee! His ego must have been too fat and big that it just covers his brains. It is just so obvious his cheap "Thank you" campaign is another cheap attempt to raise funds for those in power's own pockets because in the end, you still see poor Tibetans in exile and poor Tibetans being used to feel guilty and on top of that pay CTA their taxes. So, of course, those who are no longer under the CTA can very well voice out the injustice, bias and corrupt leadership that they have and make some noise because they can as they are no longer under CTA.

So Mr Sangay of course, this has everything to do with your fake "Thank you" campaign and going to Australia. Who's money are you using for all these travels huh? Australian Tibetans dare voiced out because hey they are Australian now and do not need to FEAR the CTA!

Slowly but surely CTA is gonna be more and more hated and soon become irrelevant as China gains more positive outcome with their global partnership with almost every country on this planet. CTA should really some being delusional and start being more practical. They also seem to forget that they exist because of the Dalai Lama.

Tibetans outside of India are not afraid of criticising Lobsang Sangay because they don't have to beg CTA for anything. In one of the articles about the cancellation of the event on Tibet Sun, there's one comment below which I think everyone should read.

Lobsang Sangay is the most useless leader in the world. He may have a very impressive qualification but he really cannot deliver anything to the Tibetans. The free Tibet movement is still not showing any progress, the future of the Tibetans in exile is still not promising.

Lobsang Sangay has a very bad reputation. He siphoned money; he is a womaniser; he even sexually assaulted a few women. He uses his power to give favour to people he likes, for example, Dhardon Sharling. He runs the CTA as if it is his personal business.

Lobsang Sangay is using his position to try to make money for himself. He has access to a very wide network which he could use in future when he leaves the CTA. He is not here to serve the Tibetans, he is here to serve his own interest. The Tibetans have made a very wrong decision to let him serve his second term as the Sikyong.

Why is Lobsang Sangay still the president of Tibetan leadership after so many scandals and wrongdoings from him? He must have a super thick skin to feel that he is still qualified to be the president of Tibetan leadership. I wonder why fellow Tibetans still willing to follow the leadership of a man who involved in stealing money, womanising and also sexual abuse.

How can someone like him bring Tibetans to back to Tibet? How can Tibetans trust him that he can or will do the job? He is clearly all for himself and he has proven himself to be a useless president because there is no result after he has been elected as the president. Tibet is still under China now and there is no dialogue between Tibetan leadership and China.

While the Tibetans cause is still a failed cause, Lobsang Sangay has successfully paid off his mortgages and abused a few women. Everything that he achieves during his term as the president is negative and only for his own benefit. Now that he announced the Tibetan cause will be around for another 50 years, he is giving himself time to avoid the responsibility of fighting for Tibetan cause. He will probably be dead in 50 years and by that time, the new generation of Tibetan leadership will take over the mess that he left behind.

After so many scandals, I am not surprised the Tibetans hate Lobsang Sangay. He always talks and no action is taken. He may be a Harvard law graduate but he definitely is not leader material. What he has achieved over the years is scandal after scandal, nothing else.

Lobsang Sangay claims he is loyal to the Dalai Lama but what he is doing is totally against the Dalai Lama. He keeps saying he supports the Middle Way approach but he continues to condemn China. There is no indication he is going to humble down and find ways to please China so the Dalai Lama can go back. How can the Tibetans trust a leader like him?

In addition, he proudly told the Tibetans to fight for another 50 years to free Tibet! A cause that takes 110 years to succeed? This is just so crazy. It just means the cause is a failure, don't put hope in it! I will be really angry if my leader says that because he really thinks the people are stupid and dumb.

If I were Tibetan, I would be very angry with Lobsang Sangay as well. He uses the Tibetans to make money, siphoned money to pay for his own property and used his power to give favour to his lover. He doesn't do work but always holds press conferences to talk about things that do not benefit the Tibetans. He has achieved nothing significant or positive.

The most disgusting thing is after so many scandals of his are exposed, he is still not resigning. He has no shame for what he has done, he is just taking things for granted and running the CTA like a dictator. What kind of democracy is this if someone goes against him, their lives will be made very difficult?

The Tibet cause is not progressing, there is no tangible result. Lobsang Sangay cannot even give a plan. The CTA has not changed its method in the pursuit of freedom for Tibet, how will something that is not working produce a result? He is just full of rubbish and a big time taker.

Lobsang Sangay is the worst president that Tibetans in exile can have. He has been their president for so long and yet there is no progress on the Tibetan cause. All he did during his term is to get as many benefits as he can and also harass all the women that worked under or close to him.

The Tibetan leadership has promised the Tibetans in exile that they will be returning to Tibet soon and they keep breaking their promises. Tibet is now under China's occupation and it seems like they are doing a way better job than the Tibetan government. If the president is not doing well then the Tibetans should collectively ask him to resign.

He is a shameless president. With all the sex scandals and money siphoning news about him, he should have resigned. He is unfit to be a leader with such a corrupted code of conduct. People around the world who are in the same position as he would have resigned immediately after scandals about them are exposed. Only in CTA that they allow their president to be such awful human being and lead them. No wonder the Tibetan leaders turns out to be the same as Lobsang Sangay.
