On 14th September 2010, The 11th Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu, member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and vice president of Buddhist Association of China met with Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo and The Venerable Sik Kwang Sheng, President of Singapore Buddhist Federation, and a group of buddhists at the Xihuang (West Yellow) Temple in Beijing. This is the first time the 20-year-old Panchen Lama having diplomatic activity and meeting up with foreign politician.
