It is indeed good news that many media publications have announced the ‘private visit’ to China by His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s emissary Samdhong Rinpoche. As a Tibetan who wishes for the Tibet issue to be resolved during the lifetime of the Dalai Lama, it is important for the Dalai Lama and all Tibetans this visit happened. Of course I will not read too much into this because it is just beginning stages and China is a hard nut to crack, but at least there is a beginning. Since Lobsang Sangay’s term, he has not done anything to activate the talks with China to our chagrin. This is our prime concern. This is the prime job of the so called Tibetan government in Exile or CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) in Dharamsala. Their prime job is to solve the Tibet issue during the lifetime of the Dalai Lama. If the Dalai Lama is not here, heaven forbid, no other leader can unify Tibetans into one nation because the CTA does not groom leaders of international abilities. That is just how Tibetans are. So I have listed out 12 points which I wish to share with everyone.
- We all know His Holiness the Dalai Lama wishes to return to Tibet that is why all these years he has remained as a refugee without becoming an Indian citizen. We must help him return to China/Tibet at least for a visit.
- Dalai Lama does not want to have independence and wants full Tibetan autonomy under China. So the Tibetans who protest and fight for independence are against the wishes of His Holiness. Tibetans should stop criticizing China and stop protesting against China and start reaching out to make friends. If this is done, it will make it easier for the Dalai Lama to negotiate further through his envoys.
- By Tibetans criticizing, degrading and flinging nasty words at China will not hurt China in any way but will irritate them to not negotiate with Dalai Lama regarding Tibet. If you want something from someone, you must be polite. Criticizing China is the same effect as flinging an egg at Mt Kailash to hurt Mt Kailash. No effect.
- Even if 6 million Tibetans decide to fight against China, how can they win against 1.2 billion? It is illogical and it will be massacre time. No country in the world will give finances, arms and soldiers to help Tibetans fight China. The United Nations and every country agrees Tibet is a part of China. So fighting for independence is a suicide and a waste of time.
- Even great India cannot help the Tibetans get Tibet back from China. India cannot interfere with China’s internal issues and India also agrees with the One China policy and that Tibet belongs to China. So do not pressure the Indian government to help Tibet. Be grateful the Indian government gave a home to the Tibetan refugees for the last nearly 60 years and don’t ask more of India. Tibetans must not be greedy.
- Dalai Lama is getting old and he wishes to visit Tibet and the 6 million Tibetans waiting for him. Envoy Samdhong Rinpoche has gone to China not for a holiday, pilgrimage or meeting friends. Impossible. Samdhong Rinpoche is a high profile person who has criticized China for years and there is no way he can simply just go and China wouldn’t issue a visa on his refugee passport. People who criticize China are denied a visa. For Samdhong Rinpoche to go to China must have had the Dalai Lama’s, India’s and China’s permission. The only reason Samdhong Rinpoche is going there is to negotiate a visit to China by the Dalai Lama. If the visit to China works out well, then Dalai Lama may be granted permission to visit Tibet eventually. So at this time we must make sure Dalai Lama visits China as he is ageing very much. “The Wire”, “Tibetan Journal”, “Phayul” and “The Tribune” have all reported Samdhong Rinpoche visited China. CTA’s ‘president’ Lobsang Sangay has confirmed Samdhong Rinpoche’s visit to China as the Dalai Lama’s envoy. So this fact is confirmed. CTA or Tibetan govt likes to keep all this a secret, but Tibetans are well known for not being able to keep secrets.
- For nearly 60 years the Dalai Lama cannot visit China/Tibet and all his policies, ideas and methods did not work. Dalai Lama traveled all over the west drumming up support for Tibet to gain independence and it has failed. The western leaders and Japan all are not meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama anymore as they want business with China. Business with China means billions being poured into their economies. The main concern of all governments is to improve the economies of their nations. Whether we like that or not is not the point. The countries banning the Dalai Lama are increasing. Ironically most of the Buddhist countries like Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand have banned the Dalai Lama and he cannot visit. Maybe many people do not like the fact the Dalai Lama is losing support from governments but that is just the fact. China is rising to become the number one economy and super-power of the world and this will continue till they surpass even the USA. Even the USA are clambering to make friends with China. This trend will increase. USA being friends with Tibet for the last 20-30 years was a feel good factor, but now it does not feel good anymore due to their heavy recession and economic slump. What does the US get in return for helping Tibet? Nothing. Voters want jobs, business, trade and profit and USA leadership must provide this. USA has used military intervention to fight in countries such as Panama and the Middle East where their interests lie. But USA will never use force or military intervention for Tibet and it has never since 1959. USA has provided billions in aid to the Dalai Lama and our regime in Dharamsala but even that is being threatened under the current US president. How long does the world need to assist, aid and give money to Tibetans? When do the Tibetans make our own money and stand up for ourselves as being in India for nearly 60 years? Why are there no world famous secular Tibetan doctors, entertainers, scientists, media personalities, explorers till now coming from the exiled Tibetans in India and from around the world? Because the regime in Dharamsala did not have the foresight to train our people in this but only depended on free aid. The Central Tibetan Administration or CTA as they called the regime in Dharamsala which ‘governs’ the Tibetans in India and influences the Tibetans around the world created a group of people dependent on aid and free money since 1959. Their only focus has been religion as our God-King or Head is a monk namely His Holiness the Dalai Lama. That may have worked until 1959 in Tibet but obviously it will not work now. Being a monk for a leader, he will have no knowledge of developing his nation to that of the secular status of other nations. The proof is in the pudding, hence Tibetans in India after being refugees for 60 years still depend on foreign aid to survive. The hundreds of employees of our CTA regime in Dharamsala receive their salary that comes from the billions in aid from the US government. The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in Dharamsala has created a few generations of Tibetans who wait for handouts just like themselves. This is shameful.
- By countries being friends with the Dalai Lama and fighting the Tibetan cause will gain nothing for their people. We can talk about China’s human rights violations as much as we want, but we cannot govern our countries according to western views of human rights. Democracy is a concept that needs to be molded to suit each country’s unique situation. The democracy in India is different than that of the UK, USA and Japan. So people need to stop looking at democracy according to western standards because more of us are not westerners. Westerners need to stop imposing their value, democracy, way of life, religion, culture on the rest of the world. Colonialism should come to an end. USA should give America back to the Native American Indians. Alaska should be returned to the Eskimos. Australia should be returned to the Aborigines and so on. Western imperialism has colonized India, many countries in Africa, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, South America and the list goes on. So westerners and their values should just remain with them. China must evolve their own system of government free of outside intrusions like India did. When India finally fought and won independence from imperial Britain, the British said India cannot govern its own people without Britain. That is western arrogance again. But India did fine and will continue to do fine. India cannot govern India according to British or western standards because India is unique on its own. Same for China. To cry human rights against China is a waste of time. Let China find her own methods without outside interference. Simple.
- It is important we allow Dalai Lama’s envoy to further negotiate with China and we assist this along. We should offer words of support, prayers, pujas and good wishes. It is simple, His Holiness the Dalai Lama wishes to visit China and eventually Tibet, so let his wishes come true. He deserves this very much. With regards to the Dorje Shugden issue which needs to be resolved, I find it ironic that Tibetans are ‘not encouraged’ to have associations with China or they are labelled a traitor and therefore segregated. This is the divide and rule tactic of the CTA regime. But now that Samdhong Rinpoche is making relations with China, the rest of us can also do same and to call Dorje Shugden followers derogatory names if they are friendly with China will only jeopardize the negotiations as China is open to all religions and do not discourage Dorje Shugden. The leaders of China are atheists but do not allow religion to divide or segregate people. The CTA regime uses the Dorje Shugden issue to divide and segregate Tibetans since 1996. Furthermore the Independence (Rangzen) seekers within Tibetans have to decide if they are on the Dalai Lama’s side for autonomy (umay-lam) or against Dalai Lama and continue to pursue independence which is not viable. It is important that the Tibetan leadership will stop criticizing China to the media, on lectures and individually and encourage their people to restrain also so the negotiations can go through well.
- Lobsang Sangay likes to say that if India will not help Tibetan gain independence from China, what happened to Tibet will happen in India. That is totally impossible in a million years. India is just as powerful, large, armed and intelligent as China. India’s armed forces are just as powerful and extensive as China’s. There is no way this can happen. India’s population is as many as China’s. And India has a working, functional and powerful government. Tibet in 1959 had none of those. Tibet was lost because of bad leadership, lack of exposure, high illiteracy rate, serfdom and the corruption within the government was so deep, it sold its own country off. The Tibetans in exile are the same now. The tiny minuscule ‘government’ of Tibet in Dharamsala is beyond pathetic with their disharmony, greed and corruption. If you want to know more, read Tibetsun (dot) com for all of the Tibetan ‘government’s’ intrigues. Tibetans are disappointed.
- India and the world owes nothing to the Tibetans. Tibetans owe India and many countries in the world so much for the help, financial aid, land, safety and citizenship and refuge for nearly 60 years. Tibetans should stop making demands of India and solve their own problems. India and the world did not make Tibet lose their country because Tibetans did it themselves and so they should solve it themselves.
- It is good news Samdhong Rinpoche went to China and let’s hope his negotiations will be ongoing and succeed in bringing His Holiness the Dalai Lama to a visit to China and eventually to Tibet. As His Holiness the Dalai Lama visits China and eventually Tibet, this will definitely help in Sino-Indian relations because the Dalai Lama has been a thorn in the side for Sino-Indian relations if the truth is told. If China was harboring an Indian that was considered a separatist in China and giving refuge to hundreds of thousands of his supporters in China, would India be pleased with this? Never mind if Dalai Lama is actually a splittist or separatist but that is how he is viewed by China. So we have to see both sides. Of course I support the Dalai Lama but I have to be pragmatic according to world and China’s political views.
One interesting point to note is the Tibetans and their supporters within India and around the world who seek complete Independence (rangzen) of Tibet from China are silent on this recent visit of Samdhong Rinpoche to China. Dalai Lama wishes to have an autonomy of Tibet within China. There is a faction of Tibetans who claim to be not against the Dalai Lama but are overtly against his middle way policy (umay-lam) of autonomy. To speak against the Dalai Lama in Tibetan society is taboo and will invite segregation, insults and violence. No one is allowed to oppose the Dalai Lama’s views on governance, religion or culture in any way although they call themselves a democracy. So the independence seekers otherwise known as rangzen movement are silent and obviously not happy about this development. They do not agree with Dalai Lama at all. Not a word from them on social media. They have a distorted view that Tibet can be taken from China and become independent again. How is this possible? The best chance for Tibetan culture, religion and way of life to be preserved within Tibet is to become friends with China. Then China will loosen their policies on Tibet in time. The world has agreed Tibet is a part of China and it will remain this way. The rangzen people do not accept this and automatically they place themselves against the Dalai Lama. Samdhong Rinpoche famously said that the rangzen independent movement groups are very dangerous.

Further developments: The Tibetan people tricked again
On 4th December 2017, The Wire, a popular Indian news website published a story that lifted the spirits of the Tibetan people around the world. The report, authored by P. Stobdan, announced that the Dalai Lama’s personal envoy, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche had visited China. This itself is a remarkable milestone given the length of time when a high Tibetan official last went to China on what can only be an official visit regardless of how dressed-down the visit was. As a personal envoy of the Dalai Lama, it would only be natural for Samdhong Rinpoche, who is also ex-Prime Minister of the Central Tibetan Administration (Tibetan leadership in Dharamsala), to be regarded by the Chinese government as a ‘de facto separatist’. This bearing in mind that the Chinese government had over the decades regarded the Dalai Lama as a dangerous ‘separatist’, and that Samdhong Rinpoche himself had spent years encouraging anti-China sentiments. And yet, Samdhong Rinpoche was allowed into China so easily which can only mean that the Chinese government approved the visit.
These factors combine to lead the Tibetan people and their global supporters to conclude that Samdhong Rinpoche’s visit was a precursor to an impending visit by the Dalai Lama. This is big news because visiting China has been a personal wish the Dalai Lama has expressed on many occasions and it would bring great joy to the Tibetan people to see the Dalai Lama fulfilling that dream. In fact, many Tibetans have self-immolated to spur this dream on.
In addition, a Dalai Lama visit would also indicate that the Tibetans in exile might once again be able to see their beloved land, a dream that has spanned more than half a century. At first, many could not believe their ears about the news of Samdhong Rinpoche going to China but then confirmation came from Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, the highest-ranking political official in the Tibetan government. His confirmation, issued through Phayul (essentially the CTA’s mouthpiece), was taken as an authentication of the news. It was official and the Tibetan people’s hopes of returning to their beloved Tibet was reignited after a decade of stagnation. It would have been an opportunity for all Tibetans to unite and fall behind a common goal and for all to put differences aside to achieve the most important goal.
Sadly, on 19th December 2017, a full 15 days after news of Samdhong Rinpoche’s visit first broke, Samdhong Rinpoche crushed this new hope by announcing that he had not visited China and neither was a visit by the Dalai Lama to China likely.
Samdhong Rinpoche’s statement to Phayul.com highlights a number of very important observations:
- We see how disrespectful Samdhong Rinpoche, a very senior Tibetan leader, is towards the Tibetan people. He can so insensitively douse the hopes of the Tibetans in an instant. This is after decades of failures and countless false promises made by the Tibetan leadership to its own people. The Tibetan people have trusted the CTA and until today, most have chosen life as a poor refugee with no foreseeable future instead of taking up Indian passports (which many are entitled to), to retain more of their “Tibetaness”. Instead of recognizing that sacrifice, Samdhong led everyone to believe in this new hope for two weeks and then recklessly crushed everyone’s hopes with no explanation or apology.
- In fact, why wait for two weeks before correcting an error? One can only imagine that Samdhong Rinpoche waited two weeks because he was actually in China. With its internet firewall, he did not hear about Lobsang Sangay’s confirmation of his visit until he left China two weeks later, and that is when he issued the statement of denial that he had ever travelled there. But during the time he was supposedly not in China, or supposedly in China, how come no one else in Dharamsala noticed the absence or presence of one of the most recognizable faces in Tibetan politics? Surely someone else, for example Samdhong Rinpoche’s staff, would know his movements and also step up and either confirm or deny Samdhong’s whereabouts at the time. How come Lobsang Sangay himself can disregard his envoy counterpart’s whereabouts for such a long period of time, and not know for sure where he is? The fact only Lobsang Sangay and Samdhong Rinpoche are addressing this incident, and fueling more confusion in the Tibetan community, is incredibly suspicious.
- How trustworthy is the Tibetan government when two of the highest officials can so seriously err on such a simple matter? If Samdhong Rinpoche did not indeed visit China, how could Sikyong Lobsang Sangay have gotten such basic information wrong? On the other hand, if Lobsang Sangay was correct and Samdhong Rinpoche did visit China, then why would Samdhong Rinpoche tell such a blatant lie in denying his trip? Either Sangay is lying or Samdhong is lying. Whichever one was dishonest about the matter, it is still bad news for the Tibetan people. Either the Tibetan people’s highest elected government official, Lobsang Sangay, who is supposed to lead them into a good future is deceitful. Or Samdhong Rinpoche who is supposed to represent the Dalai Lama, is insidious and sneaky. It is impossible for both Sangay and Samdhong to be right on the same subject and so deception is confirmed.
- Both Lobsang Sangay and Samdhong Rinpoche have recently been appointed by the Dalai Lama to be his personal envoys. And this is an incredibly important role because the survival of the Tibetans in exile and the success of their struggle are heavily dependent on the credibility of the Dalai Lama and the trust that the world places on him and his representatives. Not only have we seen now how one or the other is confirmed to be deceptive, but we now also see how easily the two most important persons who represent the Dalai Lama can bungle such critical matters. And this is even before they execute highly sensitive state functions that the Dalai Lama has been performing. Instantly, there is doubt not only of the Dalai Lama’s envoys’ integrity but also their competence.
If Samdhong Rinpoche and Lobsang Sangay cannot even co-ordinate on such a trivial question – where in the world was Samdhong Rinpoche? – how can they individually and together, navigate the tricky and often stormy political oceans? As a matter of fact, how many grave mistakes have they made over the decades that would have robbed the Tibetan people of good chances to win their struggle? These will be mistakes that the Tibetan people will never know about, considering the level of deception that the CTA clearly engages in. How can the Tibetan people rely on these two to continue to win global support of the Tibetan cause and deal with a very powerful China who, over the years, has demonstrated highly sophisticated diplomacy and governance?
Finally, notice how after both Samdhong and Sangay exposed each other in public, there is no effort to repair the situation and instead, the damage has been allowed to fester and grow. Either there is an ongoing rift between the two envoys or they just could not be bothered to provide a coordinated reply to salvage the CTA and Dalai Lama’s reputations.
This bungling is characteristic of the CTA who has drawn more and more criticisms and concerns over the years. Recently we witnessed the spat between Lobsang Sangay and Penpa Tsering, the ex-representative of the Dalai Lama in North America and ex-Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament. The two government leaders behaved like schoolboys and quarreled publicly over the pettiest things. In the process, they exposed how corrupt the CTA actually is, that the Sikyong can direct monies meant for the Tibetan refugees to be treated as he sees fit and clearly in contravention of basic accounting integrity.
If the best of the best of the Tibetan government is of this caliber, is it any wonder what those under them are like and is it any wonder why after 60 years in the wilderness, all the CTA can offer the Tibetan people are hyped up promises instead of clear policies and directions?
It is only common sense that before an investor invests any of his hard-earned money into a company, one of the basic things he must look at is the honesty and competency of the management. An astute investor would never place any money into a company where the top officers are proven to be dishonest, and the entire management have been proven to be incapable of coordinating and repairing costly mistakes and, scarily, not in possession of even the most basic business plan to go by. How much more costly do the investments of the Tibetan people have to be? It is not money that the Tibetan leadership have gambled away but their lives, and the lives and future of a few generations of Tibetans in exile. Call it by any name, Rangzen (independence) or Umaylam (autonomy), a bad investment is just a bad investment.

Rangzen or Tibetans/supporters who want complete Independence of Tibet from China will not be happy with Samdhong the envoy visiting China. Rangzen people always say they are not against the Dalai Lama but the Dalai Lama’s view and wish for Tibet is autonomy (umay-lam or middle way) and NOT independence. If you are not against the Dalai Lama, then why don’t they trust in the wisdom of his middle way method? Why don’t you stop fighting for independence as Dalai Lama advised? Obviously rangzen people are against the Dalai Lama and Samdhong Rinpoche said they are the most dangerous in Tibetan society. You can see Samdhong Rinpoche saying so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn62-WmDFg4&t=1s
With Samdhong visiting China, it is definitely to negotiate with the Chinese on Tibet’s situation and a possible visit of Dalai Lama to China/Tibet. The Dalai Lama has mentioned many times he is getting old and he wishes to visit Tibet. So shouldn’t all Tibetans including rangzen people help achieve this? The best way is to accept the autonomy or middle way and negotiate with China.
Let’s hope Samdhong is successful.

For so long after 60 years, I am glad that the Dalai Lama has taken control with His decision about Tibet in China and that He is sending his envoy to path the way for His visit to Tibet, China.
The extensive 12 points by Tenzin Monlom are very logical, and all Tibetans must support the Dalai Lama to fulfil His wishes to have autonomy of Tibet with China (umay lam) and not complete independence as propagated by Lobsang Sangay and his elite members of the CTA.
The time is here that many countries choose to be on China’s side and not CTA’s and CTA is losing its clout to ask for donations.
The Dalai Lama cannot sell Tibet to China, as internationally it is recognised that Tibet is China and as such it may be good for Tibetans to realise that CTA is a non entity. All recognition of CTA is only but a good feeling by any international governments and communities.
By international law, CTA is not a legal entity. All Tibetans must know that and support the Dalai Lama and his envoy and not be blind folded by Lobsang Sangay and his corrupt members of CTA.

The Dalai Lama has kept alive for 6 decades his wish to return home to Tibet, as well as for Tibetans in Exile to return home. He has shown the sincerity of his wish to return to Tibet, as he has up to now, maintained his refugee status. Hence, this is the step in the right direction, a quiet visit by Samdhong Rinpoche to China to talk to the Chinese about Dalai Lama’s visit. Now, there is a report by India’s Tribunal that Dalai Lama is planning a visit himself. It is to be hoped that this historic visit will take place. If all cards are played well, Dalai Lama will visit China and Tibet. He will be able to start negotiations with China.
Unfortunately, it is hard to see what role the CTA is to play going forward. How have they kept alive the wish to return home of fellow Tibetans in Exile, when they have already acquired passports of Western countries and also found homes in these countries, with their families having settled there as well? Again , allowing over 150 Tibetans to self-immolate , and blaming these on the Chinese, without explaining to their families and other fellow Tibetans that the Dalai Lama is all set to negotiate with China on umaylam, shows just so much hypocrisy among CTA members.
Furthermore, how can the CTA continue deriding Shugden practitioners as paid Chinese spies , without concrete evidence? During this critical period , as having friendly ties with China is the politically correct thing to do, shouldn’t they withdraw all these allegations? Indeed ,to facilitate the smooth and successful return of Dalai Lama, all efforts should be made to create greater unity and less schism among Tibetans. Hence anti-Shugden content ought to be removed from all government websites.

Finally the discussions have started with the visit of Samdhong Rinpoche. It has been so long that no action was taken to find peace and reconciliation with China.
Of course it will not be easy but if no one starts it will never happen and we can see that the Independence or Rangzen movement had no results. Instead of having a result, they only insulted China.
Thank you for these good news DorjeShugden.Com!! May we be able to go back to Tibet soon together with the Dalai Lama!!

Can the Dalai Lama admit to the world that he was wrong about Dorje Shugden?
I think not.
The Chinese government is pro Dorje Shugden and they would want him to publicly low himself by admitting he was WRONG ABOUT DORJE SHUGDEN.

Item 7 asked the question of what the US gets in return for siding with Tibet. Well, as Dana Rohrabacher will tell you, it’s about armed strategy. The US need bases to surround China, just in case. The other is to ensure that there is no stability in the northern regions so that China will be distracted. That is the value of Tibet to the US. They will not allow stability to come so easily to Tibet.
So, the Dalai Lama must be a smarter politician than that.

When the CTA stress that China do not have human rights according to the western value, doesn’t what have CTA imposed on Dorje Shugden’s ban IS already a serious violation of Human Rights? Why did the westerners keep silent? Why did the CTA keep imposing on the ban and spent so much money to propaganda the Dorje Shugden’s ban without feeling ashamed on this hooligan act.
H.H Dalai Lama, since exile from Tibet have been tirelessly fighting for the welfare of Tibetan Refugees in India. What have the current leaders do? How long they want to milk H.H Dalai Lama and get every bit out of it to fill their greediness.
Instead of unite their own Tibetan refugees so that they could benefit the society, at least benefit the Indians whom have host them for 50 years. The CTA have factory tons of professional beggars to get fund from those western countries. And now, the countries suddenly stopped in supporting the CTA, all CTA can do is point the gun towards China, that the western countries have stop donate money to them due to China. But, Think! How long could the countries pay the CTA for this beggars show?
As for Rangzen people, did they really think Tibet could be independents? Who will support the country economy? Looking at the corrupt state of the CTA in Indian, did the Tibetan in China really wanted to rules by them? A separatist? And a leaders who are professional in turning their people to be poor.
H.H. Dalai Lama is known to many people whom have the power of influent to many Tibetan. And many Tibetan listen to the Dalai Lama, thus , if Rangzen people really follow the Dalai Lama, they should support their leader whom have scarify a lot for them. It is time for H.H Dalai Lama to return home, it is time to unite Tibetan and stop the illogical Dorje Shugden’s ban

They are really confusing! And to think that these two people are HHDL’s envoy. What are they trying to do?Confuse Tibetans more or make them angrier. They don’t even know how to keep it together and act like they actually are doing something for the Tibetans.Really pathetic.China will never return Tibet to Tibetans that would be impossible. Why do they think they can achieve rangzen?IMO umaylam is the best option to choose or would they rather stay back in India and become her citizen? You can’t have it all.The bright side is that both countries are getting huge economically.Stay in either one,you still gain,as a citizen.I watched many documentaries of Tibet but all I see is how well they are maintained and how much they grew.CTA paint bad image of China’s govt to their people.Well if most Tibetans choose to go back to Tibet,I think CTA can pack and close,of which they should have done long time ago.

I’m truly glad there’s a change in Tibet, at last. For the past 60 years Tibetan in exile lives depended on fund. Nevertheless the government never had any attempt to improve the situation and educate them. The decision of Dalai Lama to have full autonomy under China for the Tibetan is a very fair choice. Firstly, the Tibetan will able to obtain their citizenship and secondly, they would receive privilege aid from China either in resources or welfare. Besides, the Tibetans would have their longing FREEDOM that they have yearn for so many years and enjoy the peace and happiness that they used to have. The Tibetans will be educated and the economies will improved and most of foremost their life security.

Every Tibetan that supporting His Holiness the Dalai Lama should support and adhere His Holiness wishes for returning to Tibet. After close to 60 years this is a great news not only for His Holiness but also for all Tibetans. No other countries will choose to support the full independent of Tibet by offending the Chinese. This is the fact. The best way for Tibetan futures will be for His Holiness to return back to Tibet

Again and again the failure of the CTA is obvious!
For so many years, the CTA did nothing to reconcile the Tibetans with China – so now are they calling Samdhong Rinpoche a Chinese Spy, Dog and what not!??!
Shame – no results after so many years and the Tibetans have to pay the prize!!

Dalai Lama wish to go back Tibet and looking to achieve autonomy. What CTA going to do with the people supporting Rangzen? Will CTA catergorize them as traitor and will their faith be the same as Dorje Shugden like how CTA treated them?

It is clear the people within CTA are against the Dalai Lama, going against the Dalai Lama’s wish of seeking autonomy. Why is it the CTA are allowing this yet jump on others and brand them as traitors and China paid spies when those people were viewed by the CTA as going against the Dalai Lama?

What is wrong if letting Tibetan knowing that Dalai Lama is planning to go back China? What’s wrong if Tibet can’t get independent and can’t even get autonomy? What’s wrong if Tibet is under China government? Tibetans in Tibet are living happily and practicing Dorje Shugden happily. Why is this CTA so anxious about letting Tibetans know that Dalai Lama is planning to go back China? Lobsang Sangay is worried that if Dalai Lama starts going back China, many Tibetans in India will follow. Then his CTA will close down, cease operation. Then his source of income will flow away like water! 😄😄

I wonder what CTA will do from now on. I really wonder. Dalai Lama clearly wants autonomy while CTA is split with people either wanting #Rangzen and on another hand is ok with autonomy. So when Dalai Lama expresses His wish to return to China Tibet will it trigger a lot more people doing so, and then what CTA will do now to prevent this? Will CTA go on and make bad allegations against HHDL here😱 on?

If the HH Dalai lama going back to Tibet, how will the CTA. CTA never have a good words for China and now Tibet is part of China. Therefore back to Tibet is just like back to China. However how CTA has to take this? After 60 years, the current development already shown no one will go against China, there will be no support from the world. And the tibetan in tibet definitely would like to HH Dalai Lama back to Tibet. I wonder what CTA will do for next……

It sad to see after 60 year of exile, Dalai Lama had to send Samdhong Rinpoche to visiting Chins to prepare his visit China. This show clearly CTA has failure all the time and did not make effort to make connection with China. Even Holiness able to get approve by China. Is not eady for him get freedom to talk with the tibetan. Again CTA fail to protect H.Holiness for freedom to talk or force to sign unfair agreement with China at the past.

I think HHDL is planning something big. This is why he is sending Samdong Rinpoche to visit China. On the other hand, why is HHDL making the Nepalese angry by saying Buddha’s birthplace is not in Lumbini. There must be a reason for it. Let us put on our thinking caps and think deeper.

China made another intelligent maneuver in offering economic incentives in exchange for political favor. Recently, Senator Steve Daines of Montana hosted a delegation of Chinese Communist Party officials that oversee Tibet and undercut the simultaneous visit by the President of the Tibetan Government in exile in exchange for a $200 million deal with a leading Chinese retailer to export Montana’s beef to China. The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) is no match for China regarding political intelligence. If the CTA is smart, they will start to build rapport and stop condemning China for an event that happened over 60 years ago.

Lobsang Sangay and Samdhong Rinpoche are both the most important personal in Tibetan in exile after HHDL.
Lobsang Sangay said to the media, Samdhong Rinpoche visit China. 2 weeks later (after returned from China 🤫) Samdhong Rinpoche said he didn’t visit China neither HHDL has a plan to visit.
So both of these 2 most important men in CTA, worked so closely with HHDL and when the world is watching and waited for the good news, they happily created such joke which lead to tremendous disappointment not only to all Tibetan but to the world.
CTA well known of cant keep any secrets but also well known of lying and creating confusion to others. Never change after 60 years.
🤔 what was actually happened in between? I do hope Tibetan issue will dissolved harmoniously and peacefully. What happened 60 year ago had passed. We learned from the mistake but never hold on and hate. Must put the future of our next generation first. May the HHDL wishes of returning to Tibet come true soon. 🙏🏻

The best option for the Tibetans is for the Dalai Lama to be returned to China. It is the most logical and practical thing to do. Tibetans belong to Tibet, there are no other countries in the world that is suitable and best match the Tibetans. Since Tibet is now part of China, it is most logical and practical to work with China and end the stateless suffering once and for all.

After looking at several contradictory reports regarding the alleged Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche’s visit to China, one should wonder why Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche had to deny his visit to China after such visit was confirmed by Dr. Lobsang Sangay and now by a former Indian intelligence officer. If Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche had the best intention to promote the Dalai Lama’s middle way, then why he needs to deny this visit? After all the Sino-Tibetan relationship has been stagnant since 2011, the fact that Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche was able to secure a meeting with Chinese government officials should have been a great success for him, instead of becoming another source of controversy.

China’s economic prowess is not to be underestimated. Leaders from various countries seek economic collaborations with China, who has been contributing to the world’s economic growth, especially in the past decade. The Indian Intelligence Bureau’s (IB) report highlighted the lack of opportunities in India for growth and advancement as the causes for Tibetan youth to willingly betray their host India and work as spies for China. Tibetan youth clearly have difficulties to survive in India as CTA failed to create sufficient jobs for the Tibetans in exile. This is a reality and we will see more and more trend like this and eventually Tibetans seeking improvement in their quality of life and intellectual advancement will leave India and ‘return’ to China.

Samdhong Rinpoche’s November visit to China is brought up again in this article because it may have implication to India’s politics. At the moment, it is not clear yet as to what transpired during Samdhong Rinpoche’s 4-day visit to China and how the development may impact the progress of Tibetan cause or India-China relations. The confusion and curiosity related to this visit were increased a notch recently after Samdhong Rinpoche denied that this visit even occurred. It is very likely that the public may speculate further about Samdhong Rinpoche’s real intention behind the visit and why he was hiding it, and the speculation could run wild and impose a new risk to the Tibetan cause and India China relations. Therefore, it is best for Samdhong Rinpoche to clarify this matter once and for all.

Instead of creating employment opportunities, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has nurtured a culture where Tibetans expect handouts and foreign aids to get by. As a result, they created a new generation of Tibetan refugees who are volatile and vulnerable, and always depend on others to help them out of circumstances. Now, Tibetan refugees in India do not even hesitate to compromise the security of their host country, India, who has been so kind to them, in exchange for monetary gain.

January 17, 2018
This is such a torture to see what the CTA does to the Tibetans! Not only have the Tibetans lost their country for so long already, being in exile and not knowing where to go after the kind 99 years in India, the Tibetan Government in exile has only created problems for the Tibetans.
Instead of giving them the means to live their life independently and making a living, they kept them small as refugees for 60 years already.
Instead of making a good connection with the Chinese Government, they only insulted them although the conditions have drastically improved since the Chinese took over in Tibet.
Instead of helping their Tibetans, they have supported the self-immolations and burned candles instead of stopping these unnecessary and unhelpful actions!
Instead of focussing to bringing peace to the Tibetans in Tibet and in the Tibetan communities all over the world, they have incited hate against Dorje Shugden practitioners and insulted everyone who had any connection to China!
What is the CTA up to? Why are they fighting the Dorje Shugden people for so long instead of doing their work and improving the life of the Tibetans??
Everyone should be aware of this CTA!! Shame on you!!

China has been liberal towards Buddhist practitioners including those who are practicing Shugden deity. In fact, there are 250 million Buddhists in China currently, almost three times more than communist party members. On the contrary, the Tibetan leadership in exile continues to discriminate against Shugden practitioners and politicizes the Shugden controversy to their benefit instead of promoting harmony among Buddhist practitioners. How ironic that the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) continuously criticizes China for their human rights issue and yet the CTA fails to respect even the most basic human rights of other people — freedom of religion.

Lobsang Sangay’s dismissal of Penpa Tsering with various accusations backfired, contrary to Lobsang Sangay’s expectation. Now, Tibetans are protesting and expressing their loss of trust in his leadership. Lobsang Sangay has to clarify a lot of things to the public, including the USD1.5 million loan with Tibet Fund. Tibetans are now beginning to see Lobsang Sangay’s true colours and are speaking up against him now.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is again, expressing his wish to visit China. This is not the first time His Holiness mentioned about visiting or returning to China. In fact, His Holiness made a strong statement in November 2017 that he “would return to Tibet at once, if China agrees”. Could this be another sign from the Tibetan leadership that rapprochement with China is happening soon?

Dorje Shugden practitioners have been victims of unfounded blame for more than half a decade with news reports initiated by the Tibetan leadership in Dharamsala alerting the public that Shugden fundamentalist groups posed huge security threat to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It was alleged that they were covertly backed up by China. The reality is that terrorists are out to harm His Holiness, with two bombs found amid His Holiness’ tight security, thanks to the intensive combing operation by Indian police. The Central Tibetan Administration should stop spreading lies that Shugden practitioners or more absurdly, Shugden practice imperil the life of the Dalai Lama, and pay more attention to real threats such as this.

In a letter by the Dalai Lama’s translator, Thupten Jinpa, he had said that The Dalai Lama Trust was “slowly getting caught in unnecessary distractions”. Here is an excerpt from the letter:
“For someone who have [sic] had the honor and good fortune to serve His Holiness for over three decades, it had been painful to see how His Holiness’ name and legacy was slowly getting caught in unnecessary distractions (Albany-based NXIVM) and discordant messages (of rich and celebrity orientation). Especially, for the Trust, which is effectively His Holiness’ principal charitable foundation for the outside world, the last two years’ record has been, to put it mildly, quite embarrassing. The Trust has alienated most of its inter-organizational relationships, almost destroyed its infrastructure of the Tibetan graduate scholarship program with a majority of the independent reviewers resigning, and failed to support those international organizations that were actively inspired by His Holiness’ vision for the world and were undertaking high profile initiatives furthering His Holiness’ vision. Most sadly, the Trust has unfortunately acquired a reputation of being authoritarian, confrontational, petty, and uncaring, characteristics so far removed from His Holiness’ personal ethics. In particular, for those organizations and individuals who had been the recipients of grants from the Trust, frankly, the behavior of the Trust can be best characterized as that of bullying. If ever, some of the email communications from the Trust during this period were to come to light within the public domain, it would be a source of embarrassment for everyone connected with the Trust.”
The Dalai Lama’s office had also called for investigations and the eventual of any wrong doings by the organisation.

The Indian police has issued a circular for Tibetan refugees who are Indian voters or Indian citizens to surrender their Tibetan refugees registration certificates (RCs). Dawa Rinchen, Tibetan settlement officer at McLeodganj, said that the matter was to be dealt by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
There are around 1,400 Tibetan voters registered in Kangra district, many of them have exercised their voting rights in the state assembly elections without surrendering their RCs.
The Tibetan and Indian authorities are in a fix over this issue as the Tibetan authorities say that they don’t have any data of such Tibetans while the Indian authorities have passed the responsibility to Tibetan authorities stating that they had not asked anyone to apply for Indian citizenship or voting cards.
The CTA has already asked the Tibetans that they cannot take the benefits of being a refugee if they are holding Indian citizenship. There are also guidelines that such Tibetans have to leave the settlements. However, it remains to be seen if such rules will affect the CTA officials, such as Dhardon Sharling, Dolma Gyari, and Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar who hold Indian passports.

Tibet Autonomous Region Public Security Department issued a report on organized crime, that contains information about activities that violate the existing law and regulations. The CPC Central Committee and State Council will act to control these criminal activities to ensure social harmony and stability, and that the people live and work in peace and happiness. CPC called the ‘Middle Way’ as a narrow nationalistic idea and is trying to control any activities related to supporting the Dalai Lama.

An article published in 1997 in the Spanish magazine “Mas Alla” stated that Ling Rinpoche practiced Dorje Shugden. The magazine covers spiritual and metaphysical issues around the world, and doesn’t have anything to do with Tibetan Buddhism. So in that way, it has no reason to be biased in and to write articles in support of or against Dorje Shugden.
The magazine was also issued in 1997, before the height of the ban, at a time when no one was compelled to hide the truth. So we can be sure that the reporting on this matter is therefore neutral and unedited and objective.
It’s a fact that both the tutors of the 14th Dalai Lama (Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche) practiced Dorje Shugden, which was confirmed by the research conducted by the reporter JC Deus from Mas Alla. Deus clearly interviewed the right people and since the truth will always prevail, it is not surprising that an independent researcher like him with no links to Tibetan Buddhism so easily discovered and reported that Ling Rinpoche does Dorje Shugden practice. Remember that Deus was just doing his duty as a reporter, and reporting it as a neutral historical fact, not with any agenda in mind.
This is clear proof and it contradicts the false information the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) propagates that Ling Rinpoche does not practise Dorje Shugden. Lies like these will always be found out and exposed. This has been proven with the CTA who continue to make a fool out of themselves, losing trust among the Tibetans and supporters around the world.

Mr. Mila Rangzen says the head of the Tibetan exiled govt is a sexual predator
Since 2011, Lobsang Sangay’s tenure as the President of the Central Tibetan Administration has been mired with various scandals and failures, such as the election scandal and the US$1.5 million loan scandal. The 17% unemployment rate among the Tibetans in exile has also forced some Tibetans to become spies, betraying their host country India. Now, in more shocking news from Mila Rangzen, who has been proven to have access to a lot of insider news, Lobsang Sangay has been revealed to be a sexual predator who does not hesitate to risk the Dalai Lama’s reputation to satisfy his lust. More women and people are speaking up about this. This is really breaking news. These women deserve a platform to express the pain and humiliation and be open to heal.
Mila Rangzen has, on numerous occasions, shared extremely accurate and reliable news for the benefit of the Tibetan community. He has never failed us with the accuracy of the news and they have all proven to be true. Mila seems to not be afraid to tell the truth.
All the victims of the sexual predator Lobsang Sangay should not keep quiet anymore and must expose him once and for all. He should be punished for his actions and asked to step down from his position now! The victims should be empowered by this and speak up and point the finger at Lobsang Sangay if this is true. Do not stay in the dark and hide your shame because Lobsang Sangay is destroying the reputation of the Dalai Lama.

Tibetan govt in exile is corrupt, liars, segregationalists, greedy, bigots and this is what they do when Dalai Lama is alive. After Dalai Lama is no more, the whole Tibetan govt in exile will just collapse overnight.
They lost their country in 1959 because they are too corrupt to keep it. For the last 60 years they cannot get their country back. Tibetan govt is a failure whether in Tibet or in exile.
