Green Tara empowerment in Eshowe. 250 people attending, young and old, with Liberation from Sorrow Prayers translated into isiZulu, so beautifully sung.
Our Temple in Zululand has been built by the local people, a ruined garage, transformed into a holy place.
People enjoy Geshe-la’s Kadam Dharma presentation and blessings, and receive so much benefit from it.
Welcome to Green Tara!

It is just so great to know that people from Zululand they accept Buddhism openly with both hands. Although the set up of the shrine, and throne is all very simple, but you can see the type of attitude for the people’s eagerness to learn the Dharma.
This shows all of us that we do not have to have a complicated alter to practice Buddhism. We should find happy when we are given the opportunity to practice the Dharma, no matter where we are, how our alter is like.

I read with amazement at the enlightened activities of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso spreading to distant place like Zululand, South Africa. Kudos to his students who took on the compassionate deed of spreading Lama Tsongkapa’s teachings to bring happiness into the people’s lives there. It is indeed rejoicing to see Green Tara Empowerment event with such beautiful spread of offerings to the holy ones. May this centre with is humble beginnings of a converted garage grow to benefit more people with the dharma. Thank you dorjeshugden.com for sharing such heartening event, with the pictures of happiness and harmony.
