Yet another life has been tragically lost in the name of the Tibetan cause. This latest casualty came in the wake of the Swiss government’s recent rejection of 300 Tibetan asylum seekers and dictum for them to leave the country.
In a grisly act of protest, 32-year-old Tashi Namgyal lay down on the railway track between Lucerne’s Emmenbrücke and Olten stations in the early hours of 7th September 2017, willing himself to be fatally run over by an oncoming train. He reportedly left behind two letters, one addressed to the United Nations and the other to the Swiss government. Not only did both letters specifically carry his appeals for the plight of Tibetans in exile, but they also conveyed his overwhelming sense of helplessness, disappointment and frustration for his fellow countrymen.
Some might single out the Swiss government as the culprit, claiming that this tragedy could have been averted if they had been more compassionate and more accommodating to Tibetan asylum seekers. However, blaming the Swiss government is oversimplifying the problem and overlooking its root cause.
First of all, the Swiss government does not owe anything to the Tibetans refugees in exile. It has every right to decide whom to allow into its borders and whom to reject. It has acted within its own laws and to condemn them for rejecting Tibetan asylum seekers is to allow the real culprit, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), to yet again, cop out of its responsibilities.
In truth, this drastic form of protest is the result of the mounting frustration and desperation of Tibetans refugees caused by the broken promises of the CTA. From the ultimate promise of a return to their homeland to the interim assurances of improving the welfare of Tibetans in exile, CTA has clearly delivered none.
Negotiations with China have been at a stalemate for quite a while, with minimum traction to date. Instead of working hard to bring China back to the negotiation table, the CTA is more interested in explaining the lack of progress by conveniently blaming it all on China’s policies. This approach not only reflects the CTA’s typical irresponsible nature, but is also an insult to the people’s intelligence as there are many more avenues which the CTA can explore.
For instance, the CTA has done nothing to address China’s lack of trust in their sincerity in relations to the negotiations. This is obviously a major stumbling block, yet the CTA has illogically been making the situation worse by antagonising China, constantly painting it to the world at large as a sinister government abusing its power and using its money unscrupulously to get what it wants.
There has also been no proper post mortem to explore more effective ways to engage China nor any proper re-evaluation of the CTA’s strategy in dealing with the Chinese government. In other words, the Tibetan leadership is more preoccupied with justifying its ineffective policies and dealings with Chinese leaders rather than addressing them.
The sad truth is that, as long as there are Tibetans who keep sacrificing their lives for the Tibetan cause, the CTA will continue to have a convenient excuse to deflect attention away from their incompetence.
Another crucial factor prompting great frustration for the Tibetans in exile is their economic hardship. In this regard, saying that the CTA fail to pass muster is clearly an understatement. After all these years, not only has the Tibetan leadership failed to steer the Tibetan refugee community into self-sustainability, they have also failed to create tangible improvements in their social and economic welfare to date. Exile Tibetans living in Dharamsala are pretty much no better off now than how they were when they first fled Tibet, despite decades of generous donations and monetary aid channelled to the CTA for the Tibetan people.
Thus, for many exile Tibetans, applying for asylum overseas becomes their only shot at building a better life and escaping the mire that is the Tibetan refugee community. As such, it is not difficult to see why even Tibetan youths such as the late Tashi Namgyal and the late Tenzin Choeying would feel dejected and disheartened to the point of employing extreme measures as a last resort to draw attention to the plight of Tibetans in exile.
Perhaps they were hoping to emulate the success of Mohamed Bouazizi, the Tunisian street vendor whose self-immolation culminated in the end of dictatorship in Tunisia. Or perhaps they were trying to follow in the footsteps of Thich Quang Duc, the Vietnamese monk whose self-immolation eventually stopped the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government and toppled their rule.
Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that these self-inflicted Tibetan deaths have failed to effectuate any geopolitical changes. In fact, the ineffectiveness of the self-immolations as a means to advance the Tibetan cause is painfully obvious yet, for some reason, the CTA has elected not to condemn or speak against these sacrificial acts to prevent future incidents.
If the CTA truly cared for its people, why would they allow these rising suicides to be left unchecked? Clearly, the Tibetan leadership is in a position to curtail them, given their ability to browbeat Dorje Shugden practitioners into giving up their religious beliefs, turning those who refuse into social pariahs, turning the tables on Rangzen supporters and causing the violent ostracization of Lukar Jam. Given their influence and sway on their people, the CTA is more than able to bring an end to future suicides, if they wanted to.
The hard truth is that the Tibetan leadership’s non-action has resulted in yet another loss of a young Tibetan life, and this time not under the so-called “oppression” of China but in the peaceful and democratic environs of Switzerland. Blame for the anguish and loss suffered by Tashi Namgyal’s family lies directly at the CTA’s doorstep.
Furthermore, the CTA’s on-going refusal to curb the rising spate of suicides in the name of the Tibetan cause will not only affect the reputation of Tibetans refugees around the world, but possibly spur even more countries to think twice before letting another Tibetan asylum seeker into their borders.
Given these circumstances, it logically goes to say that there must be truth in the allegations that the CTA actually condones these sacrifices. After all, since they are financially benefitting from increased foreign aid after every case of self-immolation, it is not a stretch to conclude that the Tibetan leaders are incentivised to remain quiet.
At the end of the day, the shock and outrage which ensues with each loss of Tibetan life conveniently allows the CTA to keep the Tibetan dream alive with very little effort on their part. From this perspective, it is no wonder that the Tibetan leadership is more interested in glorifying Tibetans who self-immolate by holding memorial services, lighting candles, calling them martyrs of the Tibetan cause and erecting statues to commemorate past self-immolations than to call for a cessation of such grisly suicides. Why? Because it would mean that they would actually have to put time and effort into doing what they were elected to do – to give the Tibetan people a better life.

This is truly tragically sad. Dharamsala CTA and Dalai Lama can be very firm and harsh about self immolations and suicides in the name of Tibetan freedom. Dalai Lama can teach on the non-virtues of suicide according to Buddhist teachings. Can stress how people who kill themselves take rebirths in the lower realms. Dalai Lama can order people and families to not do this as he will get upset. There are many things Dalai Lama and CTA can do to stop all the self immolations and suicide for the Tibetan cause, but they are not doing it and most of the time stay quiet. This is very suspicious. 🤑 Dalai orders many other things and people have to listen so why not this. ❓

Wastefulness occurs when no precaution or actions are taken to prevent same.
Another suicide by a young person of Tibetan descend is heartbreaking. Especially when the whole feeling comes across is of despair, hopelessness and frustration.
Why CTA is not doing something to improve the lives of the Tibetans in exile so that even when there is no breakthrough with China, there is still hope of an advancement in life?
Why is a so called democratically elected CTA not care nor do good for her people?
Why is CTA side stepping all these desperate action of their young people and blame on other countries, specifically China? Now that Tashi Namgyal committed suicide in Switzerland does CTA has more scape goats for their incompetence.
I would highly recommend CTA to be more effective with uplifting the lives of Tibetans.
CTA is totally capable of being extremely effective taking into consideration how CTA upheld the ban on Dorje Shugden people.

It is unfair to blame the Swiss government for the passing of this young man. The pent-up frustration cannot be pushed to the leadership of another nation, who does not owe the Tibetan in exile anything. In truth, the 32-year-old Tashi Namgyal should address his frustration to his own leadership, for their failure to secure any form of residences in Switzerland and take care of their welfare!
In fact, I am very disgusted by the mentality of Tibetan in exile; it seems that from top to bottom, there is a prevalent attitude to demand for tolerance, hands out, sympathy from other nations, especially the wealthy nation. And if these originally kind and generous nations stopped succumbing to their demand, the Tibetan in exile will exert blames onto them. Like this case.
The entitlement mentality is appaling and must be addressed. After 60 years of receiving hands out and donation, Tibetan in exile must learn to stand on own feet and make some progress.

It is so sad to keep reading about young Tibetans committing suicide due to the failures of the Tibetan Leaders. It is amazingly lame that the Tibetan Leaders are blaming whatever failures on China when the causes for these suicides and everything that failed were by their self serving policies which never had taken their people’s needs into consideration. Carrying their feudalistic rule from Old Tibet to Dharamsala, the Tibetan Leaders still continue to only do as they wish. Such a travesty to let these youths die just to garner more sponsorship monies that never go towards the betterment of their people. Dangling the repatriation to Tibet as a carrot, Tibetan Leaders keep their people in “refugees” status which means easy money from sympathetic sponsors who had previously used as thorn against China. But now China is the darling of the world with their ludicrous trade agreements and as a political powerhouse. Tibetans in exile had been made redundant as any governmental meetings with Tibetan Leaders will antagonise China which means no agreements that benefit their own countries. Tibetan Leaders have nothing to offer and after the years of living off the goodwill of others (professional beggars), they had not put any of the monies into teaching their people self sufficiency nor improved their lives. Many are still living in poverty and uncertain in their statelessness.
The Dalai Lama had long promoted autonomy rule to be negotiated with China and the question is why had CTA gone against his wishes? Are they so ignorant that with all their accusations and badmouthing of China to others, somehow China will hand Tibet back to them even if under autonomy? Weird expectations!! Unless of course, all these while, CTA had always planned for Rangzen, seeing how members of CTA had openly attended the conference in Paris to promote Rangzen ideology. Come on! CTA is against the Dalai Lama’s wishes and they should be ruled PUBLIC ENEMY as such. After all, that is what CTA had ruled Dorje Shugden practitioners for continuing their 400 year old authentic practice. Just because the Dalai Lama said those practitioners can’t attend his public teachings, initiations, etc. CTA went overboard by banning and creating discrimination, segregation, persecution and so much sufferings to these innocent practitioners who had continued their practices out of their Guru devotion.
I would strongly advise the Tibetans Exiled or not, to stop believing in CTA and their uncaring policies. Was CTA ever there for them in times of needs? Look at their own living conditions, have any of the sponsored millions or billions changed it for the better? Are they even any closer to returning home to Tibet? The smart ones had left and gain citizenships when they could. Wonder how long will the Tibetans allow CTA to get away without blame and how long will CTA use their people and their lives to earn extra sponsorship? Really sad for those innocent citizens. Actually how can they be considered citizens when they have no country to be citizen of?

I urge all Tibetan people, please do not die and suicide for your country, the CTA or the borders of Tibet and the people running it, do not deserve your death.
Everyday is impermanent to die for CTA, or due to hopelessness is like all the many Americans who were drafted for the Vietnam, it is a complete waste of time and effort. This road can just lead to a very painful death and resulting in a not so fortunate rebirth.
In addition, CTA have created so much damage to spiritual community, and tibetan diaspora, I am afraid the Wheel of Sharp Weapons is upon CTA right now, nothing they do can have the effect they intended. Also their methods engaging in China, is less than desired and pathetic the world is starting to look up to China for world leadership hence the polictics and methodology used to bring China to the negotiation table is not the same methods used 20 years back.

Hello everyone, specially to our CTA Taxi union president Lobsang Sangay and his beneficiary Kashag members and followers,
I am Chokyi I worked in Exile government 15 years. When Lobsang Sangay came to Dharamsala leadership I researched 2 years through what I have seen and what I listened from him personally. Lobsang have no personal skill and capability to solve the issues of Tibetans in India. He have only a paper degree from Harvard that’s called R….R….R, which means big talk in Tibetan. I feel so much pity on those uneducated Tibetans who set themselves on fire and burned their bodies. Each self-immolation brought a huge benefit to CTA financially. After every self-immolation Lobsang Sangay and his Kashag members have tour programs under the name of Tibetan political issues to introduce to western countries. Mostly, they travel first/business class. But, once they reached destination Lobsang Sangay asked donations to CTA. This is Sangay’s no 1 capability to ask donors in the name of self- immolation. So, I have known much better what Sangay real doing. That’s why I resigned from my post and living independently in US now. Here I humble request to all ordinary Tibetan people in exile. Plz go to apply for western or Indian citizenship as soon as possible. This is only way how you and your children survive a better life. Don’t listen CTA leaders big talks. Becoz, when you don’t have money to pay your children’s school fees. CTA can’t help you. When your father got serious sickness CTA can’t help you. When your mother died CTA can’t help you. But, CTA will use you for donations in name of seeking help for Tibetans. That donations they will corrupt at the end. Therefore, do something for yourself. Don’t let others use you. This is real experience that I got from CTA in 15 years working from down to earth. Don’t waste your life in CTA’s misuses.

This is so sad and unnecessary 😥 If only Tashi Namgyal knows that CTA is not actually fighting for the Tibet’s cause, but taking foreign donation and enjoying themselves in their villas, he would not have done so. Tashi Namgyal is idealistic, he thought he is sacrificing for a noble cause, yet it is noble, but little did he know that his goverment CTA who is supposed to represent him, could care less about hi life, and others who lost their lives over the years through self-immolation. There are other ways to protest, definitely not this way, not only because the death will be in vain, but the CTA is secretly happy about his death to add to the sympathy card from the western world to get more donation to fatten their own pockets.😠😠😠

This is the sort of achievements that the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) is proud of. For 60 years, all they have done is to encourage Tibetans to self-immolate, fighting among each other, discriminate those labelled as against the Dalai Lama such as rangzen people, Chinese people, Shugden practitioners etc.
Since Swiss government rejected the Tibetan refugees, the CTA started to label the Swiss government as anti-Dalai Lama too for they have not taking good care of the Tibetans in exile and therefore against the Dalai Lama’s teachings of compassion, equality and kindness. The CTA sure knows how to label others as anti Dalai Lama which they have forgotten only applicable to Tibetans.
The CTA has no sophisticated strategy or tactics and definitely no idea what politic is all about. Their method all this while is to label everyone as anti Dalai Lama as long as these people do not follow their order and are seen to affect the benefits that come their way.

I think the Dorje Shugden ban hurts all Tibetans especially for the antiShugden ppl because it makes them look bad and especially in the Tibetan CTA who relies on Western sponsorship in order to survive. For CTA to survive in the future, it has to drop the DS ban!

32-year-old Tashi Namgyal lying down on the railway track , willing himself to be fatally run over by an oncoming train, is an act that can only stem from deep despair at the state of things for him and his fellow countrymen -fellow Tibetans-in-exile. If we trace carefully the source of this despair, it is not the Swiss Government’s rejection of their asylum seeking.
Why , in the first place did they have to seek asylum in a foreign country whose culture is completely alien to them? Suicides like those of Tashi Nyamgyal are the culmination of despair born of feeling depressed and miserable with the wasted years in the exile community in India under the CTA, who had done nothing to take them out of their poverty and economic low, despite the huge sums of money, towards that end , they had received from generous sponsors . Furthermore their struggle for independence from the Chinese is now in tatters as the CTA has just let negotiations stall and stop. A total gross betrayal of promises to their people on their part.
Can the Tibetan government be more sincere and not hide behind a facade of support for the free Tibet cause and of condoning the self-immolations? It is painful to watch lives being sacrificed in self-immolations that are not destined to help in any way to advance the cause of Tibet’s struggle for independence.

It’s really sad to see another such incident happened and yet CTA just remain silent. Not even once they put their foot down to advice their people to stop sacrificing themselves. Why? Obvious reason is to use such incident to play emotional card to get fund and this time CTA will play a blaming card to push the responsibility to Swiss government for rejecting 300 Tibetan asylum seekers.
For this particular incident Tibetans should wake up and see that nothing CTA will do for their people. The responsibility doesn’t rely on other country but is CTA themselves that need to be more effective and proactive to protect Tibetan and take care of Tibetan welfare not only in India but also other countries where there are Tibetan refugees. Tibetans are frustrated because of their leaders didn’t fulfill their promise. On top of that Tibetan leadership imposed Dorje Shugden ban to segregates Tibetan. This make situation even worst. How could a government work with such division? The ban should be removed to unite the Tibetan with one voice and one action.
I hope the Tibetan will realise that sacrificing themselves by taking their life as such will not bring any positive changes. Don’t forget CTA has drag Tibetan for 60 years and have they done anything positive so far? What political arrangement has CTA made for Tibetan welfare up to now? What strategy has CTA implement to negotiation with China? Why CTA still promote division instead of unity?
To all Tibetan please value your life.

This below para nailed it. CTA didn’t do their job and by BANNING THE PRACTICE OF DORJE SHUGDEN and deny religious freedom actually caused CTA looked so bad. Tibetan asylum seekers were looked down upon because CTA deny human rights and harm those who are weak.
“In truth, this drastic form of protest is the result of the mounting frustration and desperation of Tibetans refugees caused by the broken promises of the CTA. From the ultimate promise of a return to their homeland to the interim assurances of improving the welfare of Tibetans in exile, CTA has clearly delivered none”.

I think CTA now must be so proud for having another young man sacrificed his life for Tibetan freedom!
What else CTA need to do? Nothing!! They can just sit back and all these people just killed themselves to tell the world Tibetan need help to go back to Tibet. Then what’s next? Good business time for CTA!
Why wasting your life for the useless, greedy, heartless CTA? Why being used and fooled by CTA? They are the devil who sell your lives to the world and get the money so that they can enjoy having a few passport traveling the world with first class, driving big cars, living in big house all over the world. Dear Tibetans, please don’t waste your precious life thinking that CTA will do anything for you. They’d be happy with their poor me stories to solicit more donations for themselves.
Think!! If they DID something, there wouldn’t be more suicides! And look at what happened after the suicide news? Swept under the rug after a few days. Forgotten and lost.

Such a waste of a human life. Why end it this way by sacrificing one’s life for a cause that one believed in when there are other ways to voice out one’s opinion. One could appeal to a rejection, appeal again and again or find another way for one’s appeal. But to give up one’s life is not the right way. This recent suicide and the other self immolations have convinced me that the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) could have said or done something to discourage Tibetans to give up their lives. But because the CTA didn’t say or do anything, more lives are being wasted. It also convinces me that CTA is doing the opposite, encouraging Tibetans to sacrifice their lives. This is what CTA wanted, so they would benefit financially as what this writer and comments by readers have stated here.

The money that the CTA get from other countries was not put to good use. They would have use the money to better the lives of the Tibetans in exile by improving the economy and the living conditions of the people. Instead they take the money to erect statues of the people who sacrificed themselves for eg self immolations and willingly run over by oncoming train.
If the CTA have done something earlier for the betterment of the Tibetan people, then all these deaths would not have happened. And everytime those who sacrifice themselves are the young Tibetans.
And to blame other countries for the deaths of the Tibetans is unfair because the CTA is not doing
anything to solve the problem

CTA’s on-going refusal to curb the rising spate of suicides in the name of the Tibetan cause will not only affect the reputation of Tibetans refugees around the world, but possibly spur even more countries to think twice before letting another Tibetan asylum seeker into their borders.
sad to read this, frankly speaking, if CTA has taken good care of their people for the past 60 years, all these will never happened, who will want to leave their home when they are living with their family and their welfare are taken care of. CTA for the past 60 years has only work for their own benefit and not their people.

CTA will keep quiet, and continue using ur death to get money from the west! U think Switzerland government will show compassion and continue taking back Tibetan in exile to their country? No! Who are u? Tibetan?? Every country in this world has their right to choose who they want to accept. Wake up! What this Tashi Namgyal did will just add on negative view other countries have on Tibetan in exile. They’ll feel Tibetan are so scary! Anytime there’ll be a Tibetan in their country commit suicide! Now Tibetan give the world this kind of impression. Thanks to CTA, thanks to Lobsang Sangay the number 1 Sikyong who keep quiet and let this happen. I feel sad that another Tibetan Youth killing himself. He killed himself to draw the attention towards seriousness of Tibet issue and the plight of Tibetan refugees across world. However does his sacrificed work? I personally think it is not working because this is not the first case. Already over 100 Tibetan doing so for the same purposes but nothing seen to be done to give hope to them and that is why the same still happened again.
Logically a good government should be sad to see his peoples doing so and will immediately do something about it to stop people kill themselves. What was happening make me think that are CTA care? For the first self-immolation until this case, I can’t see CTA care because instead of stopping peoples kill themselves, CTA make use of this to against China. Sad to have such a leadership.

What a messy waste of life. Doing what he did is not admirable at all. First, he messed up other’s property, and leaving the mess for the local authorities to clear both in terms of physical remains, what’s left of it and the paperwork that follows.
A waste as blaming Switzerland for not accepting Tibetans will go nowhere as it is within their jurisdiction to screen immigrants. Taking this action of messing up the rail tracks is just another reason why many countries are steering away from Tibetans.
Not admirable as taking one’s own life only leads to the lower realms, regardless. Karma truly bites. If more Tibetans takes their own life, then one day, there will be no more common Tibetans. Very good, then China will not have to deal with the Tibetans. For Lord’s sake, be around to build the culture and traditions and not just die with it.
And, such a waste to let the heartless CTA get away with doing nothing tor their own people and just let the people die so that there will be more funds to “help the Tibetans”.
Just remember, the Tibetans aren’t the only people seeking asylum around the world. These are the top 5 countries refugees are fleeing from, as of as of April 18, 2017, according to World Vision.-
1) Syria — 4.9 million refugees
2) Afghanistan — 2.7 million refugees
3) Lake Chad Basin — 2.2 million refugees
4) South Sudan — 1.1 million refugees
5) Somalia — 1 million refugees
Many of them have returned to their homeland though it was not under circumstance they would like. So, are the Tibetans so special, that other countries are to blame for not taking them in?
So, address the issue of your government in exile first before you address other issues. Housekeeping is rather important.

Tibetans should evaluate themselves what have they achieved after more than one hundred cases of self-immolation. Have self-immolations moved China and the world to take action for the Tibetan cause? No, certainly not. But who gains after each immolation? Surely is the CTA who travels the world to collect donations for its pocket without any hesitation.
Each immolation is in vain. Tragically it is simply a sacrilege to end a precious human life when this human body can develop to a higher state of being and bring benefits to many others.

Very sad the only REAL leader the Tibetans produced in the last 60 years is Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama is 82 and how many more years can he ‘lead’ his people in exile and never getting his country back?
Dalai Lama’s policy for Tibet in making friends with western powers and criticizing China is not working out. How do we know? It has been 60 years since Tibetans have been refugees and they still remain ‘refugees’ depending on handouts and free aid and free money. Pathetic..
Losang Sangye is a big degree holder and his degree is not worth the paper it’s printed on. He can do nothing and has done nothing except become ‘close’ friend with Sharling Dhardon. Their ‘closeness’ is the talk of all Dharamsala.
Losang Sangye and any ‘leader’ will not have real power but simply the puppets of the all powerful god king Dalai Lama who is the real power behind the throne.

If it was not for Buddhism, no one would listen to the Dalai Lama! The Dalai Lama gives the Kalacakra, gives self help speeches, sermons, prayers, rituals and wears the maroon dress to vast crowds. The maroon dress he wears is really a good marketing method although it is not meant to be. All these Buddhist events is what gathers the crowd to Dalai Lama. If you look at the Dalai Lama himself, besides being a smiley, shrewd and intelligent person, what does he have to attract people? Removing all from him that is Buddhist, what does the Dalai Lama have that is different than any other groups or deposed leaders that the world does not listen to. Dalai Lama owes all this to Buddhism. Therefore he should make harmony within the Buddhist community. How he is segregating certain sects with his rhetoric is dangerous. He is expelling people here clearly due to only a difference in religion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTgYWidYw3U&t=6s I was personally shocked to see this. I have met some Tibetan government leaders in Tokyo and privately they told me, they were also shocked that the Dalai Lama would say this and none of them dare advise him otherwise. They felt after Dalai Lama’s expulsion of people and in such a angry manner, it will not bode well in the future within Tibetan Buddhism which is the basis of his power. You can see in the video how angry the Dalai Lama seems to be. The Tibetan government persons in Japan also mentioned that the Dalai Lama listened to his oracle Nechung’s advice to ban this sect within Buddhism. Dalai Lama relies heavily on this Nechung god taking trance (oracle) for all his moves. Nechung is even summoned in the Dalai Lama’s private quarters to give prophecies: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x62ocw1
It bewilders his followers why Dalai Lama relies so heavily on Nechung when he is suppose to be an avatar of a god Avalokita himself. Nechung is invited to most of his public events to do his dance and prophecies. Many Tibetans such as MP Tenpa Yarphel are not happy and speaking up finally:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIP-vLuTnpw and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB_ISn6eY0Y&t=1688s . The over-reliance on Nechung demeans the Dalai Lama they feel and makes their government backwards. No modern governments consult gods and oracles for every move and if they do, they should not show this publicly. This is not a case of transparency but the Dalai Lama has not trained good advisers skilled in world politics by his side obviously to advise him and uses a god instead. Till now Nechung after 60 years has not proven correct. Nechung has not secured Tibet back. It was in fact in 2012 that Nechung told his monk Dorje Dalai Lama will go back to Tibet very soon, but it has not happened. Dorje is so ecstatic of this Nechung prophecy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIDZLzXIgW8 . The prophecy proved to be wrong again by Nechung unfortunately for Dorje and the rest of the hopefuls.
Losang Sangay is too busy with Sharling Dhardon and this is well known among the Tibetans. Without the Dalai Lama backing him up or promoting him, he is nothing and no one will listen to him. That is why everyone in the ‘Tibetan government’ are careful not to offend or displease the Dalai Lama who is the real power behind the throne. If you displease the king, you will be removed from the limelight and that means no more access to money, perks and foreigners who will give you money. Losang Sangay has made zero progress with talks with China since he ‘took office’. Whatever office that is. This shows his priority is not the Tibetans inside and outside of Tibet but to fill his own pockets before the King passes. Basically milk the cow while he can. Sad but that is the situation!
I posted this ‘pictograph’ here of Sharling and Lobsang floating on the internet when you google. Interesting. I guess the Tibetans are not happy with Lobsang Sangay and Sharling who is really outspoken to her own detriment!

Member of Parliament Tenpa Yarphel is a hero. He is speaking up for free speech and freedom of expression. He is exercising his rights, he is standing up for logical democracy which is the only way forward and not having to contact spirits like Nechung via oracles to make decisions that impact people’s lives. But look how people speak about him in the comments, so rude and nasty. It really represents the Dalai Lama badly as they are supporting Dalai Lama beings so rude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if2dFMKIr_8
They say we need to believe in Nechung and follow what he says. But in 2009 Nechung said the Dalai Lama would go back to Tibet and that everyone would be happy. A monk from Nechung Monastery is the one that told everyone about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIDZLzXIgW8. But Nechung was wrong. It has been eight years and this has not happened. The Dalai Lama did not return to Tibet. Nechung being consulted by Tibetan government in exile is backwards. No governments do this in the civilized world.
When people like Tenpa Yarphel speak up and are real patriots of the Tibetan people, they are attacked by other people. In fact people even protest like this man who shaves his hair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M30NL4hG8oA. People like these are actually protesting against Tenpa Yarphel’s democratic rights and freedom of speech. Tibetans by criticizing Tenpa Yarphel shows they are far from democracy. Besides many of the other Kagyu leaders such as Drigung Chetsang Rinpoche, Drukchen Rinpoche, Karmapa Thaye Dorje all did not say anything against Tenpa Yarphel that represents the Kagyus.
Dalai Lama had said that is his minister of cabinet in the government. Even though it is clear that Nechung is unreliable and a spirit, the Dalai Lama continues to rely heavily on Nechung and other oracles who take trance of spirits. He invites Nechung to all his events and allow him to take trance in centre stage always. In fact the Dalai Lama even calls the oracles to his own private bedroom: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x62ocw1.
These practices show how Tibetan government is run.

So sad to read about this… life sacrificed for nothing as no one would do anything about it. Not the Swiss as they can’t afford to entertain the issue. And the CTA which is the party that could possibly do something to stop this from further happening has chosen to keep their mouth shut. In some ways, I can understand a little why these young people have chosen this path. I guess when there is no hope to live, and the frustration of being stuck in a situation could lead someone made a very bad choice. I hope the Tibetan would realise soon that they could never count on CTA to bring them home to Tibet and live like before.

The Dalai Lama is so old and he can pass anytime. Beijing is waiting for that. Beijing has full control of Tibet and nothing to fear. Dalai Lama and his government negotiates with Beijing or not does not matter. It’s a small matter in fact. Tibet will never have another King so powerful like Dalai Lama and so influential.
Actually if Lobsang Sangye was smart, he would do his best to negotiate with China for a better deal for autonomy for Tibet while Dalai Lama is alive. With Dalai Lama alive, he will have more weight and backing. So why doesn’t Lobsang Sangye do so? The reason why Lobsang Sangye does not work hard to negotiate with China is because he does not care about the people. If the Dalai Lama dies, he is rich with big houses and he just moves on. He is in his position for the perks and wealth and US Passport which he has now. So why should he worry?

Sharling Dhardon and Lobsang Sangay are always together. Very close. They launched the book against Dorje Shugden practice together. Together they can authorized the spending of thousands of US dollars for commissioning a book against Dorje Shugden to further isolate and segregate the Tibetans who continue with their faith in Dorje Shugden. They do this to please the Dalai Lama so their money-making posts will be secure. They only want money.
After the launching of the book against Dorje Shugden practitioners, they went down to Delhi to be at an expensive hotel and delicious five star dinner to enjoy their victory together.

These three MPs from Dharamsala is well known to get money from China to be part of Tibetan exile government and make trouble for Tibetans. They pretend to be close to Dalai Lama but they are close to China. They are in all Parliament meetings.

Tibetan parliament MP Ms Lhagyari Namgyal Drolkar attacks Chinese Dalai Lama student.
Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar who is an MP of the Tibetan ‘parliament’ in Dharamsala seems to like to make trouble. She was recently in Paris on an all-expense-paid luxury trip to have meetings against the Dalai Lama’s middle way. They stayed in nice hotels, enjoyed the cafes and went sight-seeing also. She and other independence (rangzen) activists gathered together to have a meeting on how to oppose the Dalai Lama’s middle way. If you are having a meeting on rangzen, then naturally you are opposing the Dalai Lama’s views. She is against the Dalai Lama as blatantly as it can get. She advocates full independence for Tibet which Professor Samdhong Rinpoche the former prime minister said is very dangerous. 🇨🇳Samdhong Rinpoche said clearly that Rangzen activists and supporters are the most dangerous people in Tibetan society. Because they go against what the Dalai Lama is asking the world to support which is autonomy of Tibet under China. Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar is seen in these pictures in October 2017 in Dharamsala fighting violently with a female Chinese tourist from the USA. 😠This Chinese woman Ms. Wen Qi Zhu had just had audience with the Dalai Lama as you can see in the pictures. But when she left the audience after blessings she was affronted by a CTA member Ms. Lhagyari violently on the streets just below the Dalai Lama’s nose. A random video was taken of this event and in the video Ms. Wen Qi Zhu was saying she is also a student of the Dalai Lama. She has also contributed to the donations of the recent teachings by Dalai Lama to cover the expenditure.😡
Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar is an MP of the CTA and she should conduct herself with more decorum and good manners since she is representing the Dalai Lama’s government. Often they are violent. Of course Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar has the democratic rights to post, protest and speak for Tibet in Dharamsala, but she should also be ready for opposition. Opposition even in Dharamsala must be tolerated as it is a democratic India. 👍Some may be shocked someone opposes Ms. Lhagyari’s views in Dharamsala the headquarters of the Dalai Lama, but that just shows you how arrogant some Tibetans may be thinking if you oppose their views, they can violently strike back. Democracy only works for Tibetans so they think and it should not work against them is their convoluted thinking. Many in the audience may not agree with Ms. Lhagyari Namygal Drolkar’s views on Tibet and as an elected official of the Tibetan government, she should be more courteous, polite and explain things well and not resort to a catfight with a paying tourist. After all she is the official and representative of the government. She should educate the masses and not violently fight with them. She should resign as obviously she is not fit for this job.👎 It is a disgrace and shame. After all the paying tourist Ms. Wen Qi Zhu has every right to protest back or speak against the view of Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Drolkar, since India is democratic and allows freedom of speech which goes both ways.👍 Some Tibetans have to learn manners, being polite and accepting that the world is not going to agree with them on everything anymore. Tibetans have to accept their 60 years of playing up the refugee card while living well in India and immigrating all over the world will not gain sympathy anymore. The CTA or Tibetan government in exile have many policies that divide and segregate their own people on the basis of religion so now that they are getting some of their own karma back, why are they upset?🙏
Here is an article on how Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar went to Paris for a rangzen meeting against the Dalai Lama: http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/news/tibetan-mp-juchen-konchok-and-friends-oppose-the-dalai-lamas-middle-way/

Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar is an MP of the CTA and she should immediatly resign and give honor to the disonorable CTA or Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamsala. She is an elected official. She should not fight with the tourists and spectators. If she is going to post things about Tibet, she has accept there will be people who do not accept what she is posting and be ready for opposition but not using violence. If the spectator gets violent, then Ms. Lhagyari should immediately go to the police and run from the scene. The police station is very nearby. Do not stand around and have violent interaction with people walking by. It does not look good as an MP of the Tibetan government in exile under the Dalai Lama. MP Ms. Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar is a disgrace and should resign.👎

Dalai Lama does not want independence for Tibet that’s for sure.
Rangzen-fighting Tibetans are going against the Dalai Lama. They are hardcore separatists and most likely taking Chinese money to create schism. The attached Times of India article is very clear what the Dalai Lama wants. Rangzen Tibetans and activists are 100% against Dalai Lama and Tibetan nation.

See this comment on the Youtube video how ungrateful, greedy and nasty Tibetans really are. The Indians are angry and have a right to be angry after hosting the Tibetans for 60 years. Yet instead of being grateful, they lash back. Even calling the Indian students “COMMUNIST CHINA PAID DOGS” and other vulgarities. Very racist.
Anything Tibetans don’t like, they call you a China spy or China money eating agent. Even the Indian nationals now are berated as China dogs. No wonder Indians are protesting for Tibetans to go back! This is happening while the Dalai Lama is alive for after he passes, it will completely degenerate and the Indians will take action and expel the ungrateful refugees.
