Shar Ganden Monastery have recently appointed a new Disciplinarian and Chant Master.
New Disciplinarian -Geshe Lobsang Jamyang. His Root Guru Kyabje Zemey Rinpoche.
New Chant Master- Lobsang Jinpa and His Root Guru Lobsang Namgyal.

Congratulations to Geshe Lobsang Jamyang and Lobsang Jinpa.

We are very happy to announce the appointment of our new head disciplinarian here at Shar Gaden Monastery.
New Disciplinarian
Geshe Lobsang Jamyang was born in Kham, Tibet. He ordained as a monk at the age of 16. He came to Gaden Shartse Monastery in India when he was 20. He lived at Zemey Labrang and studied under his Root-Guru, Kyabje Zemey Rinpoche. Upon the completion of his formal studies, he was granted the degree of Geshe Lharampa, the highest degree in the Gelug educational system, comparable to a Ph. D in philosophical studies.
After Shar Gaden was established, Geshe Lobsang Jamyang was unanimously elected to serve as the school principal for the duration of two years.
He is widely respected here at Shar Gaden Monastery and will be a big asset to the monastery in his new position as head disciplinarian.

New Chant Master
We are also happy to announce the appointment of our new Chant Master.
Lobsang Jinpa is originally from Dhapa, in the Kham province of Tibet.
He ordained as a monk at a local monastery in Tibet at the age of 16.
He came to India with a group of refugees in 1997. It was then that he entered Gaden Shartse Monastery.
Lobsang Jinpa has been a student of his Root-Guru, Lobsang Namgyal, for many years.
He is just two years away from completing  his final monastic exams and will then be awarded the title of Geshe; Master of Buddhist Philosophy.
Lobsang Jinpa has much experience with a multitude of pujas and ceremonies, therefore his extensive experience will bring great benefit to Shar Gaden Monastery.

This also shows that there are more lamas and monks are trained and equipped to spread Dorje Shugden. Shar Gaden is one of the main Dorje Shugden Monasteries. When it is growing, it clearly proves that Dorje Shugden is not a harmful spirits.

May the teaching of Dorje Shugden grow far & wide and all the lamas, practitioners and monasteries have all the resources needed to grow and bring Dorje Shugden’s blessings and protection to many!

Congratulations to both Shar Ganden and to Lobsang Jamyang and Lobsang Jinpa! What is more heartfelt is that how both monks are known to have Guru devotion! It is very good to hear that Guru devotion is one of the main practices in Shar Ganden and also how the lineage and the teachings are being practiced. This is very heartfelt news that proves that Shar Ganden is on the right path as you cannot go wrong practicing Guru devotion. Shar Ganden is growing fast, and may it grow forevermore!
