Proof of the bigger picture – Chinese demanded monks to worship Shugden

It has always been dorjeshugden.com’s firm stand that His Holiness the Dalai Lama is purposely creating the ban on Dorje Shugden with a bigger picture at the back of His mind, which is actually to promote Dorje Shugden, especially in the Chinese world, where a renaissance of Buddhism is expected to happen.

Below’s account is a proof that the Chinese are actually promoting Dorje Shugden (despite with less-than-holy reasons) in China, just as what His Holiness has intended secretly.

From Big Uncle in the Forum

We could have seen this coming. It is just a matter of time that the Chinese would come clean with this. They are doing it covertly now and perhaps later, they will be more open and forceful about this especially when the Dalai Lama is not with us anymore. The Chinese would do anything to break the independent spirt of the Tibetan people, which appears to be embodied by their belief in the Dalai Lama.

In that way, the Dalai Lama is very skillful and he foresaw what the Chinese would do for Dorje Shugden. Some would argue it was shrewdness and some would say it was clairvoyance of Chenrezig. It doesn’t matter. Through his ban alone created so much hype and promotion that no pujas or marketing team could have brought Dorje Shugden to the world in such a quick manner. That means the Dalai Lama have never forsaken his lineage and Lamas. In fact, he risked everything for it.

He knew many Shugden practitioners would have to ‘suffer’ for Dorje Shugden to grow big. Some would argue that he is not very compassionate. Real practitioners will say that he is very skillful and that he was working for a bigger picture to be realized. Whatever the viewpoint, the Dalai Lama would be remembered by the results of his actions.

Woeser, a quarter-Han and three quarters-Tibetan, was born in Lhasa. Her grandfather was an officer in the Nationalist Army of the Kuomintang and her father was a high rank Army officer in the People’s Liberation Army.

When she was a small child, her family relocated to the Kham area of western Sichuan province. In 1988, she graduated from Southwest University for Nationalities in Chengdu with a degree in Chinese literature. She worked as a reporter in Kardzé and later in Lhasa and has lived in Beijing since 2003 as a result of political problems.

Woeser is married to Wang Lixiong, a renowned author who frequently writes about Tibet. According to Reporters sans frontières, “Woeser is one of the few Tibetan authors and poets to write in Chinese.”

  1. This is very interesting… I too was attracted to this subject matter when I read about the Ban. And learning from this website and also some others, I have gained faith in Ds as a protector. I pray very hard that the “speculation” that indeed the Ban IS to promote the “victim”, I would like to see very much the Ban be lifted.

I have printed brochures from this website for my friends in Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore. Last week I bought the comic from the website and also a pendant. I gave the comic to my brother who is now also reading on this website. If anyone wishes to introduce friends to this practice they should also read on:

    http://www.dorjeshugden.net

This website is new look and very modern. Also focus on information and education, and no politics.

  2. Thanks to the team for letting us know, the Chinese are practicing Dorje Shugden. It’s a great News to all DS practitioners, Dorje Shugden’s ‘Ban’ will be lifted soon!!!

  3. It makes sense that by banning the Dorje Shugden practice, it will spread like wildfire. Sounds plausible that China will want to break the hold of the Dalai Lama on the Tibetans. and so will ‘encourage’ the practice.

May that prove to be true as otherwise, many Shugden practitioners will suffer under the ban. Such pain for families to be separated due to the ban. Such suffering for them to be be unable to obtain daily basic necessities.

Worse still, for those followers of the Dalai Lama who think that they are following the Dalai Lama’s instructions. They have caused suffering to lay people with their violence and vulgarity. They have committed horrible crimes against monks. This has caused schism within and without the sangha. Are they breaking their vows? If the “Wheel of Sharp Weapons” hold true, how they will suffer in future lives.,

In all sincerity, I hope that the pain and suffering will be worth it – that it can truly be clearing of their negative karma, that it is a form of purification.

  4. I will not dismiss this theory where Dalai Lama use skillful means to promote Dorje Shugden. This would mean that Dalai Lama is omniscient and fully expected the Chinese will acknowledge and support anything that the Dalai Lama is against. Unfortunately this method brings harm to many Shugden practitioners as a result of willful action by Dalai Lama’s followers. Some can also interpret it as a vicious cycle of bad karma ripening on the part of Shugden practitioners and the planting of negative karma on the part of Dalai Lama’s followers. As of presence, the best approach is to lift the ban so that suffering will not perpetuate and no further negative karma can be created.

  5. A qualified and compassionate spiritual guide will always think about how to benefit the students as well as all sentient beings. For this instance, if there is no ban against Dorje Shugden, I personally believe that many of the erudite lamas will continue stay in Tibet and the dharma growth will happen only within that areas. Direct or indirectly, many others in overseas might not able to get the direct teachings from these erudite lamas. Adversely, because of the Dorje Shugden ban, some of the great lamas left Tibet and spread dharma in overseas which will benefit many others there.

It is not easy to have a decision to do or not to do. This is because no matter the decision is made/support which side, the people will still have to suffer either from the result of the ban or no dharma being spread in overseas. As such, a compassionate spiritual guide may only choose to think bigger and further so that many people will be benefited from it.

  6. While we see many people are suffering from the Dorje Shugden ban, the Dorje Shugden monasteries and lamas in China have received much support from the Chinese government. Chinese government allocates fund for the restoration of the Dorje Shugden monasteries and the education of the reincarnated lamas.

The Chinese government sees the Dalai Lama as a threat to the political stability. They don’t want the negative influence of the Dalai Lama in Tibet and China. If someone is found to be associated with the Dalai Lama, they will be under tight monitoring.

The Dorje Shugden ban officially cuts the relationship of the Dorje Shugden followers with the Dalai Lama. Since the Dalai Lama ‘outcasts’ the Dorje Shugden monasteries and lamas, it will be very safe for the Chinese government to support their Dharma activities. Dorje Shugden lamas such as Lama Wangchuk was allowed to travel overseas to give Dharma teachings in Europe. Gangchen Rinpoche is allowed to travel freely in and out of China. Chinese government allocates funds for the restorations and educations of the Dorje Shugden monasteries and lamas. These are the benefits gained from the ban. To ban is destructive but at the same time, it brings benefits to the Dorje Shugden practitioners in China.

  7. I think that there is that possibility of the Dalai Lama’s foresight to place the ban in order for the practice of Dorje Shugden to proliferate in Tibet/China. After the Dalai Lama was the “enemy” and China will go the opposite of the enemy’s wishes. It would be beneficial for Dorje Shugden practice to spread as we need this enlightened protector in such a degenerate age to help us in our spiritual path. What gets me though is how much the Dorje Shugden practitioners are suffering due to the ban. CTA and the Dalai Lama’s followers had gone overboard in persecuting practitioners through so many harmful means and had even cause such extensive damage towards the lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. One can really differentiate those who had been honourable and loyal to their Gurus during these painful times. May the Dalai Lama swiftly end the ban and allow freedom of practice as should be the rights of every individual.

  8. This may sound weird but the enlightened mind always able to see the future to advise what best to do. We may not able to understand their initial action but if we have faith in him then we should just go all the way with him. We must have a great devotion to our Guru which is another important factor for the protector to help us and show us a clear sign.

If we believe Dalai Lama is the emanation of Chenrezig and Dorje Shugden is of Manjushri, then what else need to debate. We just need to follow through their advice and collect as much merit as possible to support our practice.

  9. If we believe Dalai Lama is Chenrezig then we should not have doubt with his action. Initially, the band really gave a lot of suffering to many people and even up to now. Due to Dorje Shugden controversy, it catches the Chinese attention to do the opposite of what Dalai Lama does. As such, we have China to help to allow more people to learn and practice Dorje Shugden. China will not discriminate, will not operate their own people. China very particular in peace and harmony.

  10. Never thought of the ban is actually to promote Dorje Shugden practice. The price to pay for this is quite great. Many people suffered from the ban but for the bigger picture and if Dorje Shugden practice really spread wide especially in China, this will be interesting.

If you believe Dalai Lama is the emanation of Chenrezig then you will just go with what he said. To me, it’s just too much to pay for it. If possible just end the ban now and promote in another way. Perhaps it’s time to say that then ban doesn’t really bring any benefit to anyone and it should be lifted. Dorje Shugden practitioners can befriend non-Shugden practitioners and all signage should be put down. An official announcement can be made to make this an official decision once and for all.

This is what all the Tibetan are waiting for because it doesn’t really affect Shugden practitioners but also their family, guru, friends, relatives that are not Shugden practitioners. Is time to unite already.

Contemplate This

.…Instead of turning away people who practise Dorje Shugden, we should be kind to them. Give them logic and wisdom without fear, then in time they give up the ‘wrong’ practice. Actually Shugden practitioners are not doing anything wrong. But hypothetically, if they are, wouldn’t it be more Buddhistic to be accepting? So those who have views against Dorje Shugden should contemplate this. Those practicing Dorje Shugden should forbear with extreme patience, fortitude and keep your commitments. The time will come as predicted that Dorje Shugden’s practice and it’s terrific quick benefits will be embraced by the world and it will be a practice of many beings.
