This image of Dorje Shugden is unusually realistic and has a contemporary feel to it. Like many Dorje Shugden images, the facial features are said to resemble Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche, who was one of the most influential Gelugpa lineage masters at the time.
Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche was responsible for the spread of Dorje Shugden’s practice throughout the Gelugpas, which was continued by his student, Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche.

Beautiful image of Dorje Shugden! Thank you for sharing. It’s great that you provide us many high resolution images so that we can download them for our altars. I just downloaded this and printed it out. Thank you again, it was very difficult to get Dorje Shugden’s images from where I come from.
