Longrong Monastery in China Sichuan Province, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is the largest monastery in Derong County, one of the 13 major monasteries of the Yellow Sect of Tibetan Buddhism in the Kham Area.
It occupies about 10 hectares of land and houses 500 monks and 10,000 volumes of Buddhist scriptures. Its followers can be found in all the 12 townships of Derong.
Each year, during the Tibetan New Year, the monastery holds the Sorcerers’ Dance ceremony to drive away evil spirits, eliminate disasters and pray for good fortune.
Tens of thousands of people from around come to attend the ceremony which goes on for three days and nights.

Imagine being a sangha member living, studying, praying and debating in this serene and beautiful monastery! The 500 monks are so fortunate..
Despite religious oppression from the Chinese government decades ago, Longrong monastery still stand tall and able to survive to maintain its activities says a lot of Dorje Shugden’s power of protection!

Such beautiful and serenity view of holy Longrong Monastery in China. Thanks to Dorje Shugden’s blessing the monastery is still existing after so many years.
Nice to see the beautiful holy Dorje Shugden’s statue of Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, are in the monastery. And thousands of fortunate people get blessing each year in the monastery.
