May all beings everywhere
Plagued by sufferings of body and mind,
Obtain an ocean of happiness and joy
By virtue of my merits.
May no living creature suffer,
Commit evil or ever fall ill.
May no one be afraid or belittled,
With a mind weighed down by depression.
May the blind see forms
And the deaf hear sounds.
May those whose bodies are worn with toil,
Be restored on finding repose.
May the naked find clothing
The hungry find food
May the thirsty find water
And delicious drinks.
May the poor find wealth,
Those weak with sorrow find joy;
May the hopeless find hope,
Constant happiness and prosperity.
May there be timely rains
And bountiful harvests;
May all the medicines be effective
And wholesome prayers bear fruit.
May all who are sick and ill
Quickly be freed from their ailments.
Whatever diseases there are in the world,
May they never occur again.
May the frightened cease to be afraid
And those bound be freed;
May the powerless find power
And the people think of benefiting each other.
For as long as space remains,
For as long as sentient beings remain,
Until then may I too remain
To dispel the miseries of the world.

In this prayer, Shantideva dedicates his merits for the sustenance of countless beings, that they may be supplied with happiness, joy, well-being, warmth, health, and provided with food and drinks, clothes, wealth, and every amenity. Such is the immensity of Shantideva’s aspirational prayer.

It is a such wonderful and meaningful prayers that I like very much! Which time when I came across difficulties…..I will think of the prayers…. immediately, it helps me to relief.

having long blond hair
find the path back to her mother
and start love her and her sisters.
May a perverted child,
having green/yellow eyes
leave lies and turn back to mother
to love her and her sisters.
May a folish child
having blue eyes and long blond hair
become wise and turn back to mother
to rejoice her with wisdom.
May a separeted child
having nice siluette
search for her mother
and find her to love her.
May a manipualted child
having golden heart
get free and turn back to her mother and sisters.
May a hurt child be healed
in his hurt body and hurt soul,
start loving her son,
and turn back healthy to her mother.
Their Mother is waiting to be loved, huged…

This dedication prayer is really powerful and bless because it covers all living beings and also the environmental issues that may give impact to countless beings.
The most interesting is, this dedication prayer is also one of H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama’s favourite dedications, extracted from Chapter 10 of the Bodhicharyavatara of Master Shantideva.
